anyway, our lunch has been postponed for a while. with everything going on in her life right now, it’s totally understandable that rosie would want to chill out on new relationships, media opportunities etc…
rosie and her people were gracious, respectful of us, and I believe that we will get together in the not so distant future…
im disappointed (obviously), but I’ve waited this long, so I’ll keep waiting.
oh, I did get an address to send her a bunch of stuff I’ve been holding for her. So at least she’ll know I’m thinking of her.

Oh well, I can imagine how disappointed you are, Jennifer, but at least the lines of communication are still open. I really enjoy Rosie, and her refreshing style of honesty.
I *almost* got to meet her back in 2002. My friend and I were at TRS, and my friend got chosen to be a “Makeover Monday” victim (actually my friend is very pretty, and they just updated her hairstyle, clothes, etc). She got to sit and chat w/Rosie during the show, and I was planning on meeting them backstage afterwards. Turns out I had to go out with the rest of the audience because I left Rosie a book to sign at the beginning of the show. Very disappointing.
I’ve been in The View audience twice since Rosie’s joined, and she is hysterical and very candid in answering questions during the commercial breaks. I know you’ll get to meet her eventually, and I can’t wait till you do, so we can hear all about it.
I only watched the view last week because Sam Harris was on. (He won Star Search the first year, so did Rosie, I think) We grew up together in Sand Springs Oklahoma. Once when Sam’s family home was severly damaged by a terrible fire, the Harris family lived in my Grandmother’s house. (She had just passed away, and it was worthy of the Harris family.)
We played Barbies together for years. Our families went to pizza once a week at the Shakey’s Pizza Palor in Tulsa. Sam and his brother Matt ,my sisters and I would dance and sing for hours with the player piano that we pestered our parents for nickels for hours. The last time I saw Sam’s parents was after my dad’s funeral. My mom and Mrs. Harris are still friends,.
This is my only claim to fame.
Poor Rosie, hopefully that stupid Donald will shut up soon. After he attacked Martha to increase his raitings and now he is doing it to Rosie. I would think of all shows, yours understands that more than any and would be a great place for her to visit. I’m sure when it blows over she will come visit you and I can’t wait!
That stupid Donald Trump ruins everything! Hope it all works out, Jennifer…

Sorry to hear that Rosie is being pushed out of your show because of DT. I can’t stand that guy – I refuse to watch anything he is associated with! I’m looking forward to hearing your show when it’s finally “safe” for Rosie to move on with her life!

Jennifer, It sounds like you got a major blow off…I would not even think that Rosie would come on your show…she will not…in fact she probably thinks it is below her…and there is now way she would take part in an open forum like yours where she had no control over what was going to be asked by callers…and seriously…you were all worked up over Phobe Kates and look what happened with that interview…I would chalk Rosie up to a good miss…
Today you get one excuse, tomorrow there will be another excuse. Rosie & her staff are politely trying to blow you off. I would take the hint and just stop. At this point, any more attempts of trying to schedule a lunch or sending her stuff is very creepy and stocker-ish.
I’m disappointed for you, but as a simple observation, you’ve seemed a little obsessed with Rosie. Why is she so important to you? I mean it’s not like she’s Martha Stewart or anything?!?!
Jennifer, I love you, but as I tell my teenage daughters, you can’t make somebody be your friend (or have lunch with you, or come on your show, or whatever!) Let it go…

I wouldn’t think Rosie is the type to feel something is “beneath her” – she’s big on Target afterall. She seems quite pedestrian and normal despite the money. Secondly, Rosie knows “STALKER-ish” – hello, Rosie has the same problem with Streisand. She understands celebrity worship. She would totally get Jennifer’s intent.
I would hope that since Rosie was a friend enough to visit Martha during her forced sabbatical, that she will also make an effort to dish some dirt with Martha’s daughter and friend. Rosie just lost a friend last month and had to deal with that huge waste of flesh Trump. It’ll happen. Keep your chin up Jennifer!
Rosie seems pretty down-to-earth to me. Sounds like she’s doing her best with a bad situation (narcissistic DT) and I’m glad that you and she know how to treat people with some respect. People do what they can when they can do it, right? Unless they’re unsure they have a right to take care of themselves, etc. Hang in there. She’ll make a great guest.

Jennifer, You are such a better person than Rosie. She is so mean spirited!!!!!You, my friend are the total opposite. It is one thing to express your feelings but to be vicious is another. I think she has gone overboard with expressing her thoughts. Move on to something or someone that deserves your precious time.
