hi,
so here is the video of me right before my sweet sixteen…i was so damn PRETENTIOUS (the way i say the word "candid"…oy)…mixed with complete insecurity.
i hope you dig the "capelet" i’m wearing.
what you will not see in this video is run dmc who performed at my sweet sixteen (the beastie boys were there too but my dad threw them out for being "inappropriate".)
i may post me and run dmc another day.
this is so damn embarrassing…the hair, the accent, the capelet, and…
my sister may kill me for putting it up because she is in it too.
fyi, i mention about 13 names i think in the video and of those names i am still in contact with almost all of them…how crazy is that!?
xoxoxo
happy mother’s day!!!!!!
jennifer
OH MY GAWD.lmaoo that hair!lol.. and the accent is soo like cool man.the dress is soo HOT! gotta love the 80s.. love ya jenn. keep on blogin!
Please tell us – who did your SISTER have at HER sweet 16? Also – can you post picture of Run DMC and the Beastie Boys? GREAT BLOG – so fun!!! LOVE THE layers and layers of fabric!
Ha ha ha!!! Wow, what a sweet girl you were! I mean, you still are! But how gracious! Nothing like the girls on that cruddy show, Super Sweet 16 or whatever! You seem just the same! Very sweet!!!! Thanks for sharing!
God I miss the 80’s…
Like…oh maw gawd…totally Im sure!
Thanks for sharing! :o)
jennifer – the way your capelet matches your hair fluffs is priceless. the best part is after the first cut when you refer to “technical difficulties,” and counsel us that “that’s life.” your hair looks suprisingly tame for an ’86 sweet sixteen on long island, especially compared to your sister’s (!).
xo amanda
ps you making fun of poor emily’s little laugh is coming back to haunt you…listen to your nervous under-the-breath giggle!
Jennifer, you are not shy at all, I would have been hidding my face and not speaking. You sure like to talk, but i guess we already knew that…heehee
You goofy, cute girl! Look at the pink little princesses! Ha ha ha! How can you not find cuteness in that? I’d just love to hear Alexis’ take on this. I bet the pink frilly poofy dresses and hair makes her sick but deep down who can help but love you? I see the perfect Annie/future talk show host here!
OMG! Effing Brilliant! You are so damn funny! And I love that you can laugh at yourself. Thank you for sharing! Keep blogging! LOVES it!
Jennifer, you are way too cute. What a nice 16 year old. I bet your parents adored you. That must have been some party. We didn’t get parties like that in Connecticut at 16. Wrong side of the Sound I guess.
OMG! Too funny! That’s your best video blog yet, Jennifer. Glimpses of the future radio star, so cutely JAPpy!
First of all Jennifer, you certainly haven’t aged much. Alexis didn’t either according to those passport pictures she posted.
I would love to see the side-by-side comparison on the blog of Alexis at 16 to see how she behaved. I can just picture her at boarding school being a tad bit rebellious on a vido. Instead of filming in front of her house with a limo outside dressed in fancy pink ruffles and fancy hair, she’d be mugging on camera with a sweaty hippie boy outside of a school dorm or something.
you sister looks hot! hehe
what a cool experience to have the beastie boys & run dmc at ur sweet 16 party. very fortunate. post more pics.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jennifer,
You were sweet! Destined to have a job where you “hammed” it up!
I would love to see the “My Super Sweet 16” MTV show- Jennifer Koppelman version- I’m sure that you were just as pouty and Jap-ie as those girls. Fabulous!
dude, check out the mansion in the background. jennifer, you are ridiculous. i thought you were jewish? did you have a bat mit. as well as a sweet 16?… oh gwad…so canDID and gworgeous…
wait — did you have a Sweet 16 AND a bat mitzah???
Damn your parents much have some kind of money! But you deserve it. You look so adorable and so did your sister.
you were a natural- even back then- especially since you were directing the whole time:)
Wow, this is making me not like you. We are the same age, both have two kids, both were professionals before becoming professional mommies. This video is a firm reminder that you come from a different world. I am alittle put off that you would choose to play up your extravagent childhood.
Jennifer, is Jennifer Hutt supposed to dress in rags just so she doesn’t offend anyone? What a jealous comment! Take a look around – A lot of people are way better off than you and a lot of people are way worse off than you! Make sure you don’t pass this on to your kids, and teach them to love themselves and their positions in life – and whatever it is they DON’T like about their life, then to change! But don’t be jealous of what someone else has.
You have not changed one bit…except you might now be a little taller.
Yeah, everytime I look at pictures of B. Spears in some tabloid I am reminded that I come from a different world. Thanks God! Play up extravagant childhood? Please.
So Cuuuuute!
You look the same. Seems like you haven’t aged a bit. Thank goodness you lost the Capelet!
It’s a little pretentious, Jennifer, to tell us who you had at a “Sweet 16” party. I mean, really…a nice girl like you from Long Island…C’mon! You’re certainly not as bad as the girls on the MTV show “My Super Sweet 16”, but it’s a bit much…
I love the 80’s.
Suck it! you all wish it was your sweet sixteen! It looks like you had so much fun! And that is what it is all about!
Jenny..that video was too cute. I loved it!!! You were/are adorable!
You 2 are so funny. Like two poufy pastel cupcakes.
