hi everyone!
i’ve got my daughter’s recital tonight and i have a miserable upper respiratory infection! i think my summer cold turned and now i have to go to the dr….damn!
and of course i was reading on the internet about botox side effects and found some people get an upper respiratory infection from it so now i’m wondering if that’s where it came from…and of course i am still worried i’ll get an effing eye droop.
probably not.
probably i’m crazy.
also, every june i seem to fall apart- feel like crap-get added anxiety and general malaise….why june? i think i need to find a therapist. or i’ll start feeling better in july??!
it’s rainy today…thank gd and hopefully i’ll get to nap sometime this morning since i’ve been sleeping like total crap.
xoxo

Of course you get sick from Botox – you just put poison in your body, what do you expect? I think it’s fine if anyone wants to get Botox – knock yourself out! But understand what it is – poison. Do you know why it only lasts a few months? Because that’s how long it takes your liver, pancreas etc. to filter out the poison. Then you get more Botox!
In spite of what over-priced Dermatologists will tell you – there are effects. There are also NO long term studies on the long term damage to the internal organs and the damage it does to them to keep filtering out those poisons.
Most Dermatologists will tell you it’s perfectly safe and that I’m crazy. The medical establishment used to say smoking was safe too! (These derm’s are making a fortune on Botox.) We need to be responsible for our own health and use our own logic.
I hope you feel better soon!

Hey Jennifer…sorry that you’re sick, it’s probably not related to botox but to low resistance with all the end of the year crap that goes on. I too am very neurotic like you and have anxiety disorder and EVERY June I feel really fatigued, depressed, overly anxious and have insomnia so bad that even pills don’t work! Don’t know what it is but it obviously has something to do with the kids being out of school since it happens every June (weird).. need to try therapy again too…didn’t like person before. anyway, love you and botox looks great–you’re adorable.

Jennifer,
Do your kids believe you when you are mad since they can not see eye brows move? How about Keith?
I think I would miss being able to give them my “I am serious look” and also my husband might be lost not knowing. One of the best tools as a wife and mother is being able to give the look and how effective it is! POWER!
Hope you feel better!

Every time they OK something like Botox I always get a feeling about it and so far I have been right.
The Norplant birth control came out and I said oh no there is something wrong with that . Then a friend of mine had one put in a few moths later her arms was bothering her , when she had it removed it had gone gang green!!
The birth controll patch and the smoking patch , I was also leary of and now they found out they give some people strokes.
Botox , I have always thought something bad was going to come of this one too! Poor Liver!!
I do hope you feel better fast !
ACCUPUNCTURE it works so amazing for Lung issues .It the only thing that seems to work for me . Also Organic Eucalyptus essential oil works really good , put it on a tissue and inhale deep. I put it on my back held up by my bra. Its very healling for the lungs in general. Plus with the city air I would always carry it with you.
I get the A some thime ( Breathing issues) . Dont even like to say the word.
Also I know some get Accupuncture for thier wrinkles.
Take care -Steph-

Jennifer, I don’t think it was the Botox that caused your miserable upper respiratory infection. If the batch of injections were bad, Alexis would be sick too. And she isn’t, as far as I know… It could just be your summer cold got worse over the weekend, and you’re trying to connect the two independent events. Feel better, and don’t even THINK about the eye droop!
D Vegas says
I don’t know, I think your right eye is looking a little droopy. I think you should stand on your head for about three hours, I heard that will counteract the botox drooping effect.
Oh yeah, and you should video blog while you do it.
Good luck, and I hope the botox hasn’t already seeped into your brain.
Although, keep up this paranoid behavior and I’ll be convinced it has.

Damn Jennifer why didn’t you comb your hair? You should fill out an application for a job at a ‘Haunted House.’ I know they’re saying there he goes with his insults. Leo’s being a meanie. I’m not trying to win a popularity contest. You look bad Jennifer, real bad , but I do like you. You couldn’t look worst if you tried.

Jennifer, I get Botox in my leg to counteract the effects of MS. Don’t listen to what all these bloggers are saying. It is safe. Try a neti pot for your sinuses. I saw it on Oprah a few weeks ago and got one and I love it. Google “neti pot” and you’ll find videos, sources, etc. Weird things are going around this summer. My 11 year old had a cold and it turned into pneumonia! Love you girls!!

Jennifer,
You are fine. There is a bad “summer” cold going around and it ends with a bad cough and rumbly chest. Get some rest.

It gets better. trust me if I can do you can. my mom died of a sudden heart attack to I did not get to say goodbye. ok enough of the said stuff. take care and you will be fine.

Jen, you say you feel crappy every June. Do you start a weight-loss program every spring? I did every year for more years than I care to remember. Eating less than your body needs at rest is called starving. Take care not to allow yourself to remove items from your zone meals. Even a small reduction in food intake can increase worry thoughts. Remember if you could be trusted to make the best food choices, you wouldn’t be buying pre-packaged, pre-measured foods that have been selected by “experts.”

Jennifer,
consider how your negativity and anxiety will affect your children. Be positive and be a strong role model for your children. Life is tough sometimes…they need to be equipped to make it through the bad times and able to recognize all the good in the world
