hi everyone!
alexis and i are taping MARTHA today (to air this friday chk your local listings)…and of course i woke up with the BIGGEST "undergrounder" pimple on my chin! it’s sort of where the front of my chin and underside of my chin meet- and i am trying my best not to pick it.
and i am so nervous, again, to do television.
wish us luck! i’ll be the shorter (pudgier) one wearing dark brown….i think i’ll be wearing dark brown-unless i change at the last minute.

I think pimples are fun. I either pop them with my fingers, poke at them with a needle, or burn them with some toothpaste. I’m jealous…
You’re so funny. Salicylic acid is your best friend. No one will see it from that far away. You worry too much. You’re BOTH very pretty girls.
it’s too late now but a friend of mine said the next time you get a pimple take a liquid gel advil, break it open and put it right on the pimple. advil is an anti-inflammatory and supposedly gets rid of the people overnight. never tried it but she has and she said it works.
i’m really looking forward to friday.

Cool Laura! Thanks for posting that! I’m going to try that the next time and see if it works! It makes sense! I wonder if any of those anti-inflammatory creams or gels like hydrocortisone would work in a similar way. Interesting! I’ve also heard of using toothpaste or nail polish remover too. I think the main thing is to keep it clean and do not EVER touch it.
Jenny, It’s hard to believe that you were nervous on your last Martha appearance. You came across with an energetic warmth and beauty that’s a pleasure to watch. The camera loves you!
i just reread my email. little error there. “gets rid of the people overnight.” that would be nice but i meant PIMPLE. And if it doesn’t work, i was just relaying a suggestion from a friend. worth a try.
regarding the pimple – I just bought Zeno. It is expensive but it seems to work.. it heats up (not uncomfortable at all) you apply it to the pimple and it will kill the bacteria.. it’s for the pimples that are under the skin and never really come to a head. It seems to work on mine – too new to tell.
