hi everyone!
so far this past week i have baked and baked and baked…but unfortunately i did not take a lot of pictures…i was trying to have a vacation and was baking for my family…
i made 3 different vanilla cakes with different frostings (buttercream, 7 minute frosting and cream cheese frosting)… then i finally made keithy a mocha cake! i made a vanilla cake with mostly milk chocolate frosting and then added some coffee to a bit of the frosting and made a special GIANT piece for keith!

here is richie beilenson from sirius- he is the mac daddy customer relations guy…all vips get taken care of by him- he’s the greatest!
he ate a cupcake at my house yesterday when he picked up keith’s car to switch out the xm it came with…
then today i attempted to make a devils food cake…but i screwed up it seems by using bittersweet chocolate when the recipe called for unsweetened chocolate.
i made two batches….one lonely square remained intact…. ugh.
tried again….
but alas..it crumbled too and i decided to quit the cake making and used the cake i screwed up to make a trifle (fresh whipped cream and crumbled cake) ….here’s a closeup of said trifle.
other than that i’ve been in xbox rockband hell! my kids, our company yesterday, EVERYONE wants to play rockband…and it is so loud… SO LOUD…and i’m not good at it which only serves to make me bitter.
happy almost new year…. i will be drinking something….SOMETHING!

Hi Jennifer,
It was fun to read about your cake exploits. I experienced some cookie-baking bizarro-ness this year. I was determined to bake tons of cookies for family and friends…and I did. But I kept forgetting to give them away, so I baked, and I iced, and I boxed, and I re-baked, and I re-iced, and I re-boxed. And they sat in my fridge and my garage (empty) and any place I could find. What’s wrong with me?? I kept forgetting them, leaving them behind, it’s hard to explain. And they were good cookies, too, dammit. Maybe I should make one huge cookie trifle and try again next year.

hey girls happy newyear!! i know i am early… but i’ve already opened a bottle of wine :-)i hope dinner is gonna taste better then at christmas. i messed up the stuffed chicken, .. i don’t know how but it tasted awful.for tonight the soup en dessert are already perfect. if i fuck up the rest, i’ll give them lots of wine 🙂 anyway the best for the new year !!

Thanks for the video blog and the baking update. I really missed you guys on Friday afternoon, but technical issues can happen. ROCK BAND HELL!!! HA HA HA I hear you on that!!! I have Rock Band too and my husband plays and plays and plays and plays! I like it but can’t play any instruments. I’s so retarded when it comes to that. The drums oh my god the drums! Try it! I can’t do it. Can you? Moving each hand at a different pace then the kick drum at yet another beat!!! It’s like rubbing your tummy and patting your head then adding a foot kick to it. Can you do that? The guitar – similar problem. I have carpel tunnel from being pregnant and can’t do the guitar either! So I sing! I score higher than my husband singing. Finally I found my instrument and it’s my voice!!!! Who would have thought!?!?!? Okay gotta go! Try the instruments – I’d love to hear how well you do. Love you Jennifer!!! XOXOXO!!!!
