hi everyone!
first of all, thanks alexis!
i went on anysoldier and got so excited about sending stuff to the troops…found a soldier- requested his address and tomorrow i will get as much as i can on his list.
it feels great to be doing something positive for the men and women putting their lives at risk for us. i wish they could just come home.
moving right along:
a few weeks ago i had a scan of my heart and thankfully, my arteries/heart/lungs are all clear!
i hadn’t had a physical in sometime so i was nervous about what would be found…(yes i’m insane)…
my heart:
and then yesterday i had a physical (remember the poop test i had to do and bloodwork?! all basically normal…)
i was flipping out with nerves in the waiting room…see below:
thankfully my physical went fine….and i highly recommend your going to the dr. annually for a physical-even if you are panicked he/she’s going to tell you something horrible…it’s better to know isn’t it? and most likely you’ll find out you are (relatively) healthy.
here’s a question: what kind of panties do you wear to the dr. for a physical????
i opted for boyshorts…

Glad to hear you are healthy! For a physical I go for the granny panties.
It doesn’t matter what kind of underpants you were at my Doctors because they make you strip down to nothing and give you a crappy gown. Don’t you hate that!
Clean ones of course! Ha
Hummm, Jenny we all know you had a big heart, but not that big. Anyway, I usually don’t wear any panties when going for a physical, one less thing to take off if the doctor requests it. You do have an excellent point though, it is extrememly important that you go for an annual checkup, especially when you hit your low to mid 30s. With breast, prostate and colon cancer the leading causes of cancer death in the United States, we all need to be vigilant and they are hitting us hard and at an early age. We have had patients in their late 20s with metatstatic colon cancer and patients in their early 30s with metastatic breast cancer. Bravo to you on supporting a visit to the doctor, you are the best!
hi jennifer. frankly, I wear boyshorts all the time. Also, like that you got excited over Any Soldier. it really does feel good. Like Secret Santa or something. P.S. Your food pictures are looking MUCH MUCH BETTER!!!
I don’t care about the panties I wear as much as whether or not I’ve recently shaved my legs…I hate when I realize I have a dr’s appt. and have forgotten to get the legs, etc. all cleaned up!!
I usually have to take everything off and put on the paper gown. I make sure to wear socks though, just so I don’t feel so naked!!
Feel the same way about going to the doctor. Hadn’t had a physical in like forever and finally went back in October. Have high cholesterol…am on pills dammit! But I get the exact same way as you — now it’s 6 months til the gyno and bosom smashing which really gets me nuts! NOT FUN NOT FUN NOT FUN!
I love that you gals are doing Valentine’s for the troops! My husband has been in Iraq since November. This is his 3rd time over. We have to support the troops even if we don’t support the politics. On behalf of military spouses “Thank You”
Jen…I thought of you when my doc gave me photos of my uterus last week! I had a uterine ablation done and came home w/ souvenier photos. If I had a blog I might scan and post!
Jennifer.stop thinking about your health. You are fine. ” A coward dies a thousand deaths a hero only one”. I wear Shakespeare panties. Have a great night, love the show, and tell your bosses to go screw each other, then they might understand how boring they are, and how interesting Alexis and you have been, great entertainment.
I also love the boyshorts for doctor or hospital visits. Concealing but cute. Modest but modern.
jennifer your face in the waiting room is priceless. too funny! maybe you’ll win the blogger choice awards this year.
they are so entertaining, covering everything from soup to nuts (you)! : )
Honey, you look so pale in that picture. Wear some makeup!
I am a doctor (female), and we really don’t care about unshaven legs or concerns about feminine odor. No need to apologize to us. Believe me, whatever you have, we’ve seen worse. However, I do find it interesting when women wear super-sexy thongs. Not that I think they are coming onto me, but I just think, “I would never wear that to the doctor.” Boyshorts, normal briefs, or even basic cotton thongs if you must go there are okay.
You. First.
Physical are no fun..Reminds me I need my check-up..I make sure I am extra clean and shaven..Underwear is not all that important..It always seems cold in the room when I go to get my physical..
