I love their lipgloss – use it ALL the time…and you’re so right…it’s the best!

Between your dry lips and Lexi’s box, I’m not sure what to think! We need Ariel to co-host sometime!

Thanks for sharing the info about the lipgloss…I’ll have to try it. There are three products that I love. I have curly and frizzy hair and have spent a fortune on products. I’ve tried straightening gels, shampoos, creams, etc. From the super expensive salon products to the supermarket brands. The product I like the most is Paul Mitchell’s Quick Slip. I use it right before I blow dry and it cuts down on the drying time and frizz. I’m not a Paul Mitchell fan, but when a friend told me about Quick Slip I thought I’d give it a whirl. Turns out I love it. I also love Coverblend by Exuviance Multi-Function Conceler. It hides imperfections and dark circles perfectly for me. It’s waterproof, crease proof, and looks natural (and has SPF 15). It probably wouldn’t work well with paler skin tones though. Lastly, I love Olay Complete All Day UV Moisturizer. It seems to make my skin glow. ALl the women in my family, since my great grandmother, have been using Olay products. It’s amazing with all the expensive cosmetics and beauty products I’ve used, it’s these three inexpensive products that seem to work best for me.

Jen – you need to put on product BEFORE you blow dry. I love Kerastase Oleo Relax. It’s changed my hair. Sometimes (depending on how thick your hair is) you can rub a little thru when it’s dry. My naturally curly hair looks really good curly or straight with this product. Try it!

Thanks for the lipgloss tip! I really like Dior’s lipstick (I’m not a huge lipstick person, but their’s is the only one I can stand).
I love Bumble & bumble’s “defrizz” and Ojon’s “Hydrating Styling Cream”.
Laurie in Dallas & Montreal says
Kerastase ciment thermique – this leave-in conditioner is like crack for hair. It kills the frizzies and makes your hair shine beautifully – especially great for colored hair. I have to order it in advance because it flies off the shelf at my salon. You will LOVE this product!

I have fallen in love with Citre Shine Extra Strength Anti-Frizz Serum. I found it at ULTA, although I’m sure it’s available on Drugstore.com. I use it before styling and just after and it’s been really great…although it hasn’t gotten super humid yet, so we’ll see how great it works in the summer heat. It was dirt cheap ($4ish) so give it a try!

Four of my favorite products that I use pretty much everyday are:1. ‘Fresh’ Sake Hair Cream (anti frizz) & the Soda shampoo–cleans my hair the best. 2. ‘Kiehls’ Superbly efficient anti-perspirant and deod. cream–this stuff ROCKS, and really works. No white marks either! 3. ‘Yves Saint Laurent’ Touche Brillance in “Pure Diamond” or “Sparkling Nude”. And last my ULTIMATE FAVORITE product is ‘Revive’ Sensitif Cellular repair face cream. Ever since I started using this, my skin has completely changed for the better and I have actually gotten compliments from people I know about my facial skin looking so nice. It is A-MAZING! The toner is great, too. ‘Tonique Prepartif’ is the name of the toner. love, love, love it. : )

Hi Jennifer! I love their lip products too. Another great one is by Aveda, called Lip Shine in Grapefruit Pulp. Keeps your lips soft and has excellent shine.
For hair, I stick to Phyto products. I have long layered thick hair and swear by Phytodefrisant and Phyto 9. The defrisant goes on my hair after I’ve combed it out wet. Just a drop is all you need. The Phyto 9 is amazing on dry, styled hair and I put a little bit on my ends and front section. No scent and keeps your hair smooth and soft.

Hi Jen –
Redken “Smooth Down” is good for frizz. A little goes a long way…
I use... says
Silk Therapy by Biosilk/Farouk. It really makes my hair smooth and really soft. ALso love Bigelows Lemon Lip Cream and vanila mint flavors.

Just bought the Morrocan Oil online for my frizz that my stylist uses. Another friend who I sent to my stylist swears by the Moroccan Oil as well…we were giddy yesterday after I found it online and now we’re anxiously awaiting our bottles! A little goes a loooooooong way – and believe me, we’ve the same texture hair as you – maybe worse!
Erica from Ohio says
My favorite beauty product/makeup is Tarte Cheek stain. It’s the best blush I’ve ever used and it lasts all day long. You can get it at Sephora.
Jen says
THE BEST ANTI-FRIZZ PRODUCT. I have wavy hair that frizzes when it’s damp, rainy, etc. is RUSK DEEP SHINE PHYTO-MARINE LUSTERIZER. It’s in a 4.4 oz.tube, it’s blue and removes all frizz while adding awesome shine. I have long thick hair (like yours) plus I highlight mine blond and I have tried them all. This is the best by far. A little pricey but you don’t use alot. Try it. You will not be disappointed.

Bumble & Bumble De frizz

I have thick wavy hair that gets frizzy in the summer and John Frieda’s secret weapon smooths it out nicely. You can use it on dry hair and you only need a tiny bit to do the job. I also love Olay’s dual action cleanser and toner. It doesnt cause me to break out, gets off all the eye makeup and doesn’t burn my eyes. (some do!!). You should check out TotalBeauty.com. It has all kinds of product info and reviews.

Back in 1982, I used Vidal Sasson “Frizz-Ease” and it worked great. You should try it because your hair looks just like mine did in 1982. Except yours is carrot-colored.

Thanks, Lori! I have long layered hair, too..and am always in search of good hair products. I have seen Phyto products before on the ‘Barneys New York’ website but wasn’t sure…now, I will give those two products you suggested a try, for sure. Thanks, again..really helpful.

Hey, Jen…
Like someone before said: Kerastase Oleo Relax is good–BUT it can weigh down your hair (makes it kinda greasy) if you use too much.
I LOVE BUMBLE and BUMBLE “PREP”. It is a pump spray. Spray it on your hair after you take it out of the towel when your hair is all crazy looking (after shampooing). Spray it all over–like 100 pumps (hair will be really wet) then brush out the tangles. DO NOT brush out tangles and THEN spray…Then squeeze out the excess by scrunching it with a towel…and then style as usual. I have crazy curly 80’s hair if I let my hair dry naturally. This product makes my hair smooth (like yours) after blow drying and styling.
ALSO–do you have a good hairdryer? Mine is the BEST. It cuts drying time in half (or more) and really knocks out the frizz. It is a VELECTA PARAMOUNT hairdryer. Style number is “TGR 3600”. It costs $200, but it is SOOOO worth it.
One more thing– I LOVE LOVE LOVE my DIORSHOW mascara, Dior Skinflash (concealer, highlighter pen) in “002” color, and my “Pores No More” by Dr. Brandt–this product keeps your T-Zone fresh (no more shiny nose and forehead–and it minimizes the appearance of pores on your nose). You can re-apply it all day.
Hope this helps!

I am listening to the show from yesterday right now and I totally agree w/ you Jennifer. Alexis needs sooooo much attention and because she is getting older, she is feeling insecure. What a ct!!! Just admit it!

Lips: LaNatura Vitamin E lip treatment (found usually at Four Seasons spa boutiques or online) is as good if not better than Bigelow.
Hair: you can’t beat Kerastase – but Lush stores have this nice thing that looks like a bar of soap but it’s actually shampoo and conditioner. Quite fun.
Sunscreen: Anthelios
Face: Kiehls or this stuff I get at another hotel spa called Pamplemousse. It’s a lightweight moisturizer.
Bipolar Christy says
For dry lips: Aveda Lip Shine in Crystal Mint. For frizzy hair: Silk Therapy by Biosilk/Farouk or Silk Pomade by Biosilk/Farouk.

It’s weird how the background music is more interesting than Jennifer. When you listen to it you realise just insignificant everything is she is saying. Whatever, indeed.

Lori, I completely forgot how great Phyto 9 was! I used to use it all the time and am so glad you reminded me how fantastic it is.
One word of warning to people who use BioSilk: it’s a great product, but has a ton of alcohol in it so it’s very drying. Be careful. When you’re looking for styling products make sure alcohol isn’t listed in the first few ingredients.
Erica from Ohio to Marcy Houston says
Shut up, bitch.

Charlene Tilton is funny!

Do you have to slog products? Isn’t there enough real stuff to contemplate, or is life one big sales pitch?

I couldn’t help it…..I just ordered your great lip gloss suggestion….looking forward to something fun in the mail!!

I love ELF products for lips.
They are cheap $1.00 each-not crappy like cheap makeup.

Read the comments, forget biosilk. It leaves the hair lifeless. I use Robert Kree shine, finishing brillance. No scent. The best in a long line of years of wasted products, money and time. Love Kiehl’s lip gloss conditioner. Great mosturizer but not sticky on the lips. Use Aveda products for the hair, shampoo and conditioner. Keratase for the hair mask. Murad has a great antioxidant facial mask. Comes with 4 treatments and only 10.00. Got to love that. retin A on face and neck, nightly. I found great results with Origins products. Love the body scrub.Ginger scent. No need for lotion after using. They don’t have sunscreen in their products but have a wonderful anti aging mosturizer. Need the sunscreen after appliction. MAC for shadow, mascara, and eyeliner.I love the plush line of mascara.Heavenly ,thick eyelashes!!! Hope this was helpful….k

Jenn, my friend, you’re slackin’ ‘today is 4/.11/08 and no recent post. I want to tell you that I think you have a beautiful voice, especially singing, and I do NOT understand why you haven’t gotten any voice- over work. You are adorable and a perfect compliment to the evil (not really) Alexis… Yin/Yang thang….

Jennifer, Try “Perfect Hair” by System Professional. It works much better for my hair than any other product I have tried.
anne from NJ says
Ojon Hair
I found it Sephoria (your favorite store lol)
They have a whole line of products, I straighten my hair alot but I have naturally curly, which means naturally frizzy hair the minute there is any moisture in the air. Since I have been using Ojon Hair, I seriously have been getting compliments on how smooth and soft my hair looks when I straighten it.
