hi everyone!
as promised…
here is my ring- well two rings.
engagement ring and wedding band:
and another view of this ring:
and paulie’s diamond:
i still love the bulgari setting in blog post below.
and no keith doesn’t care if i change my setting… i changed it once before…just before my wedding.
the style it is now just doesn’t suit me…it’s too dainty. i’m not dainty. and i found out today when i went to another jeweler to look at settings that I CHIPPED MY DIAMOND! right by one prong there is a tiny chip…can’t take care of anything! ugh.

holy shit – how many karats is that
Dito to the karat question! LOL
I like your ring now, but if you want the new setting go for it. It’s quite lovely.
OMG it looks like that diamond ring paperweight! My ring is kind of like that, only not with a huge diamond! But it has the channel set diamonds along the band!
WOW!! That thing is huge! I like what you have soooo much better than the Bulgari. Is the Bulgari style flattering on your finger? You mentioned your current ring(s) is too dainty.
How can you chip a diamond? Are you sure it’s not glass?
it’s 4.2 carats.
i know it’s not glass- was inspected today at jeweler!
i’m rough sometimes…knocked it into something. surface chipped. i’m a retard.

That’s a big rock on such a delicate setting. Looks a bit unbalanced. I think you should reset it too, but just how I’m not sure!
Nice to hear Martha mention “The Whatever Girls” today on her show. And she gave everyone in the audience a FLIP video!
I assumed the only thing that could chip a diamond is another diamond. I don’t think everyday usage could chip it. Maybe you should go to another jeweler and get it evaluated again.
You should ask Alexis if she agrees that silver/platinum looks bad on you. Gold usually looks tacky on all white people.
jennifer- I too chipped my diamond on my engagement ring, but I did it 2 weeks after I got it so don’t feel bad! You should consider a bezel setting for your diamond if you wear it all the time. I think that kind of setting would suit you, plus it makes your diamond look even bigger!
Did Daddy buy it or your husband?
There is nothing “dainty” about a 4.2 carat diamond ring!! I know, I know, you mean the band/setting, but still! I prefer yellow gold as well. It looks much better on my skin. Go for the new setting, girl. What will you do with all of the currently channel-set diamonds??
OMG!!! My eyes, my eyes, I can’t see! The light, the terrible blinding light! It shines as big and bright as the sun!
For what it’s worth, that setting is too prissy but the Bulgari might be too… I don’t know. Give us some more options.
Notice how she has to tell us how big the diamond is.
The bulgari setting is ugly; looks like something that Charlene Tilton would wear.
Oh, wait, you are Charlene Tilton.
Sorry.
hi kevin!
i only told how big the diamond is because someone asked! in these comments! geez..damned if i do and damned if i don’t!

Well
if i had that rock
i would get it set in a nice
pave` type setting
they have the nice band with the diamonds kind of inside a cage.
Can’t you get it custom made like that?
It is possible to chip a diamond. I once took mine in to have the prongs inspected and found out that I had a chip.
The Bulgari ring is too much metal. Why don’t you add two more diamonds of the same size and make yourself a three stone ring?
Don’t listen to what some people say. Do what you want to do, because you’re the one that has to look at it everyday – not everyone else!
P.S. I love your ring!
Mazel – that you should wear such a gorgeous ring! I think you should get it re-set – still going for gold tho? Not platinum or white gold maybe?
wear it in health.

how about this?
Fuck all the haters! I swear people like Kevin only post comments on here to be assholes.
google DeBeers Dragonfly Ring…pretty
Jennifer, please, please show us another picture of that rock from a littler farther back, so we can have a better idea of its proportions. Give us a full hand shot. That sucker is huge! Bezel settings may make the stone look bigger, but a) I don’t think you have to worry about the size and b) I really believe bezel settings take away from the shine and fire of diamonds, even though it’s a nice look.
Jennifer,
Can you take a picture of the ring further away on your hand? It is difficult to imagine it on your finger. It is beautiful. No platinum or white gold for you? Get the setting that you like. If it will make you happy, get the bulgari setting or I am sure you could easily find a jeweler who would copy it for you.
I got my wedding ring ‘upgraded’ to a bigger/better diamond and setting on my 10th anniversary. I totally understand the desire to change it… However, make sure it’s something as pretty as the one Keithy gave you – cause it’s sweeeet. p.s. My husband went with me to pick out my new one. Maybe Keithy should go with you, too… You know, to make another wedding memory?
Jenny the diamond is beautiful and I think the setting is nice too but I can see how you think its a bit formal for everyday wear. I agree, but it is lovey. Whatever setting you get will be nice. And I also like the yellow gold, my engagement ring is yellow gold. Just stick with what you like.
Beautiful ring…what in the world was Kieth’s occupation at the time? Or is he still paying it off LOL j/k
The picture quality may not be good but it doesn’t look like a top quality diamond. I am probably wrong. So, please take better pictures!!!
Jen, I think if you took the diamond and mounted it in a non-jeweled band – and a thicker band at that, it would look much more modern and not so dainty/old-fashioned. The diamond would then be the centerpiece and not all the little diamonds in the yellow band. Just my thought.
hi jenny! jeez, was only kidding! relax! chill out! don’t be so damn sensitive! xxx
Slappy, it is very hard to capture a diamond’s beauty in a photograph. You’re only seeing it from one angle in a non-professional setting. I edit wedding photos professionally and take it from me, it aint easy making them all sparkly pretty in a photo the same as they would be moving around in the sunlight.
It’s absolutely beautiful! (and similar to mine!!!)
Jen, you gotta be more careful. Slappin those kids around will chip a stone every time. Seriously tho that is a very nice ring.
Size DOES count!!
Hi , just wondering what Keithy does for a living? I have a feeling that both you and keithy have had wealth all your life. Is it true? What kind of money do you make on the WHATEVER show?
hi!
keith is involved in a few different businesses…
i am paid something for the show but pay out of pocket for so many show related things that ultimately not making much money. i am NOT complaining…just answering curious’ question.
i have my ring for 11 years already and nothing else that is as “fancy”.
we have a mortgage, a life, kids to put through school blah blah blah… i don’t think now i would feel comfortable with our spending a lot of money on jewelry but when i was young and the world was in a different place we were more cavalier…didn’t think about the big picture then.
not to mention, the ring looks much bigger close up than in real life.
neither keith, nor i were poor growing up and my father had a high profile professional life.
hope this answers your questions….

Stunning! Love it!
Nice ring. Love it
Love the ring (Rock), I think the Bulgari setting is nice but I think it needs a little something else, like the Bulgari style setting with pave diamonds all over and then you big rock added, that would look great. And I too can only wear yellow gold, the white gold/platinum looks terrible on me. Can’t wait to see the picture of the final result.
What’s with asking how much you make….tisk tisk to Curious.
2 questions…
That’s a nice close-up. What kind of camera did you use?
How did you and Alexis meet?
It’s a beautiful ring. Did you give any thought to the sentiment of changing it? I have friends who “upgrade” to bigger stones, different settings, changing the wedding band to a new style etc… and I guess I’m a overly sentimental person – but then it becomes more of a piece-of-jewelry rather than – the “actual ring he gave you when he proposed” – or the “actual band you wore when you were married” etc…
All wedding bands become dated – but that is the fun of it. I always thought it was cool that my grandmothers had their 1920’s style rings forever – (and left them to me!!) – knowing that was the same ring they put on – on their wedding day.
I’m a dork, I know. Just wondering if that was a thought for you!!
It’s a beautiful ring and I hope you love the new setting!!
To Ms Manners-
Well, I am not poor now but was when I grew up. I just had a feeling that both Keithy and Jen have NEVER felt the “pinch” that MOST of us have felt in our lifetime. I just wanted to get an idea of what people do to make their money. I’m sure Jenny appreciates her wealth as a child and now but you really learn to appreciate money when you don’t have it and then you do. TRUST ME! I have always got the feeling that Jenny “poor mouths” by saying she can’t afford things when really she uses Alexis as her benchmark(because she can afford ANYTHING. I’m saying this not to be mean but to just be real…Love the show!
It is a LOVELY ring… and to the a-holes that try to get on you for answering questions about your ring… go away
Hi Jennifer! Your ring is GORGEOUS!! The only thing about bezel settings is that they cover so much of the diamond!! I understand the practicality of a bezel though!!
I can’t wait to see what you choose!! : )
PS: Happy Mother’s Day!!
Jennifer –
Geez! What a beautiful ring. I think it would be beautiful on a larger, more simple setting. As for the chips, I haven’t chipped a stone, but I did break two prongs in a week, losing two side stones in the process.
I guess we’re all clumsy! 🙂
Thanks for showing the ring, Jen. Can’t wait to see what you decide on!
That looks an awful lot like the wedding set Brtney Spears had. Change it.
