It won’t be easy, but you will make it. We are glad to have you back but so sorry for the circumstances! I feel your pain.
Jennifer, let the first day back to work be whatever it is you need it to be, whether that be the typical, inspired banter you always bring, or two hours of tearful remembrance dedicated to your mother’s memory. The show should be about you, and you should do whatever it is you feel comfortable doing.
We are glad to have you back Jennifer. Know that you have many faithful listeners out here, and we will be thinking about you as you prepare for the show. Have a good one, can’t wait to hear your voice again. Please know that you have been missed.

Jennifer, after losing both parents, (Dad at 16, Mom at 28, stepfather one month later), I only survived through bereavement counseling and putting my head down and plowing through each day. As I am sure you already know, everyone grieves differently and you should go at your own pace. Take as much time as you need. It will help you in the long run.

jennifer….i lost my mom 4 years ago, she was almost 80 and let me tell you , it doesn’t matter how old they are, it’s still your mother. That number 5 …..acceptance…….never, how could you ever accept , you just bear with it, what else can you do, life goes on as they say, and true that old cliche’ is.
You will get through this, believe me, but you won’t ever accept it and support is really what you need, and it sounds as if you are getting that. Hang in there, memories help , and you will smile again i assure you.
Take care of yourself Jennifer, we’re glad you are back.
It was good to see you again…if only in type! As difficult as it is…life does go on, not as it was but as it will be.

I lost my dad the same way on 4/29/08. Life will never be the same, but it goes on. I’m sorry for your loss and I know how you felt, how you are feeling today and how you will be feeling tomorrow. Keep smiling for your husband and children. God bless your mommy.

I just wanted to let you know that I am so sorry and that I am thinking about you and I know what you are going through. I lost my sister, best friend, and confidant in March to a cancer that just wouldn’t cooperate with treatment. She was 33. It’s been 3 months and I miss her every second of every day. I will never accept her death but I will go on as she would’ve wanted. I am a better person because she was my sister as you are a better person because Bunny was your mom. In that way I think, the dead live on. Take care, sweetie!!

You are a hero. I don’t know how you verbalized those fist word on today’s show, I could not have done it. BTW, screw what some are telling you, feel whatever is natural. Of course you are mad, be mad as hell. You’ve been robbed of one of the greatest loves in your life and it’s wrong. One day, godwilling it will be soon, but you will laugh out loud again, at some stupid sitcom or whatever.

Jennifer..the way you were described your mom on today’s show sounds so much like my mom. Mom in one word is….fiesty. If she likes ya …it’s great. But if she doesn’t… will you get the picture. She’s 77 years young…amd about 4 foot 9 inches. After a couple of glasses of vino…you don’t want to get her started on politics….

You were so brave to come back on the air tonight and discuss what you’re going through. It teared me up too, because some of your recollections made me remember my mom and the feelings that I went through with her and her P.C. I remember thinking the same way as you with “what would my mom want me to do” She used to joke that she wanted me to hang a huge portrait of herself above my fireplace in memory. Well, I don’t have a fireplace, but I keep a nice large photo of her on my wall and it always makes me smile. Thank you as well for telling us about Shiva and sharing your experiences. Peace to you!

On your blog around Hanukah time you went to Bunny’s and had a fantastic family holiday feast at the ‘big house’. You posted pictures for all us fans to see the amazing family party. Loved the pictures of all the food & of the house. Loved the noodle kugle!!! I have made it many times(you posted the recipe) and it’s always a spectacular hit. Was it Bunny’s recipe? Your mom’s legacy is her family and the love and laugher she instilled in all of you. Each year on my mom’s anniversary, my family gets together, has a few glasses of wine, toast mom and share stories and laughs. It helps. God bless.
It is not easy to lose one’s Mother.
Mine has been gone for 31 years and there are time when I think of her and smile. And then there are times when I think that it was so unfair She is not here to see Her grands and great grands. But then life is not always fair.
The pain of Her loss will get easier with time…..but you will never ever forget how wonderful your Mom was.
