Could you deal with those people working the polls? They dont even know the alphabet! Hello, P comes BEFORE W!! It’s the same story every year! No lines though…These oll workers were complaining that people were ready to vote at 6 AM…LOL
Jennifer says blah, blah, Palin, blah. Alexis says blah, blah, blah, John McCain. We just saw Obama being chased by Osama on a llama. The audacity of the hype. NOBAMA.
Don’t you think that it is kinda fishy that McCain’s name was listed on the Independence slot…I think Nater was suppose to be in that slot…I smell voter fraud
HELP
I have never seen a voting machine like this…is it an antique?
I sure hope people do not get discouraged with all the problems were hearing about with voting.
I prefer to vote by mail with my bottle of wine by my side–helps with the stress.
Vote for john mccain and sarah to save this country–unless you prefer Socialism and whatever happened to character??? “Show me your friends, I’ll show you your future.” If Nobama wins we can refer to him as that guy who bought the election. God forbid!!!!
That ballot does look quite fishy. What is Independence and McCain/Palin as the candidates? Even though NY would never go for McCain, it still smells to me.
Ohhhh Jenny’s gonna need a lawyer!!! Oh wait she is one and a notary public!!! Watching early returns…getting very hopeful…I am so proud my former state Pa knew what to do!!
First off, you broke the law by taking a picture in a voting booth–I am certain you will say something like “What harm did it do? It was just a picture!”. Nonetheless, you broke the law. I am sure you do not care–but that is typical Democrat–just like the Dems that stole my McCain signs out of my yard. Tasteless and Tacky.
Secondly, you will be sorry that you voted for Obama—make my words–if Obama is elected, you will regret your vote.
Jennifer, I love you! Let’s hope Obama wins. (Don’t pay any attention to the comments from those who don’t agree. Eff them. They need to go on another blog.) Your voting machine sure looks old. We had the newer touch-screen variety. The only thing I didn’t like is that they were out in the open and not private. But then again, I don’t have anything to hide. It was just kind of weird, I though. Seems like there isn’t much coordination in the voting process, one of the important things that you would think would be a must. I’m hoping that when your show comes on tomorrow we all have something to celebrate. Thank you for all of your attention to the election on your show.
Well I am at a cross roads. I really don’t think either of them should be in the white house. Does anyone know the words to Oh Canada? One i about change change what? He is to green, The other one is to old and wants to send in more troops… When will it end.
Wow, how complex. The Canadian system is nothing more than a small piece of paper and one of those small library-like pencils. If that is your photo, looks like you made the vote the rest of the world would have had they had the opportunity.
I split my ticket, as I often do–not because of indecision, but because the real solution to solving our country’s problems is through compromise, not party supremacy (left or right). We have a congress and senate who care more about their own self-preservation than serving the best interests of the United States. I wish Obama the best, and it is a wonderful thing that racism has been defeated and a black man has been elected president. But I do not think for one minute that he alone will solve our country’s biggest problems. That will only happen if he can draw the right and left closer to the middle. With that said, I find myself wondering what you and Alexis will have to bitch about anymore–no wait–I know! Keep going after Paulie–your favorite whipping boy! And then when you get him to cry, you can go back to trashing the Catholic Church! You go girls!
I can’t wait to see how much– oodles and oodles of money will be spent on the inauguration event party– will it be more than the AIG retreat or the Tyco birthday bash if you don’t get those references you do not read the news— anyway it will be interesting to see how fabulous a party– when people are out of work, lost their home to foreclosure, lost their retirement nest egg on wall street and can’t afford to send their kid to college — how much will the Inauguration cost ?? yeah we may not agree with all his decisions and this is one of the first how much $$ What was in your wallet??? R U going to the party??
“…calls upon workers of the world to unite and revolt against their oppressors, to abolish private property and free enterprise, and to form a kind of workers’ community in which everyone would have an equal share!”
Can anyone tell me who made this statement??? Just curious. Anyway, congrats on your win. I will sit back and actually wait for the change. If it does not come I will be interested to see the tone then. Be well.
I just wanted to say that you should all be proud of yourselves for voting, no matter which way you voted. We had a record low voter turnout last month here in Canada, the government basically called an election because they knew they’d be reelected. I would love to have to wait in a long line to vote instead of waltzing in and out in two minutes.
Republicans have such a hateful attitude. Get over yourselves. Thanks for f’ing up the country for the past eight years. Obama at least won fair and square. Thank god America has woken up!
Amy, I have to take issue with that blanket statement, as I am a Rep. and not one hateful word against Dems have I written. All I ask is that people that make blanket statements do their homework before drawing foregone and incorrect conclusions. I would also challenge you to research the reasons why the economy is in the state that it’s in, you just may be surprised as to what you will find. Again, congrats on the win, now we as a Nation must put the partisan BS aside and work together to slove the problems. Don’t forget, our President elect still has to work with conservative Dems as well as Rep.
Be well.
Thanks to those of you who still believe in upholding the laws of our country…when you love people who break the law, what does that say about you? I hope we’re all ready to lose money and support welfare…go socialism!
Can’t believe you still vote with the levers! We’re on election year #2 with electronic voting machines and I thought my town was in the dark ages. AS LONG AS YOUR BALLOT WAS CAST – THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS!
Amy in Maine: Why don’t you read the blog comments on Alexis’ and Jennifers sides again? You accused Republicans of being hateful. You might want to revise your post. I’ve read the hate from BOTH camps.
It’s funny nobody outside NY knows about those voting booths. All the years I lived in NY, no problem voting, Florida, however, with the chads, and fill in the dots…well, that’s another story. Give me the booth with the levers and a privacy curtain!
Go Obama He just was on with his press conf. He is on the right track. Alexis never answered my email as to why Martha is on Fox and not ABC (Bonney Hunt’s there instead). It seems strange to see her on cable chan 8 Fox. Did her show redo something with a different network or are we seeing a screw up in programming. This I meant because the guide still says Martha on ABC ch 5 while boney is showing. The same guide info is on Ch 8 Fox but it plays Martha. Just confusing.
Anyway I am more hopeful than ever. ALso in Massachusetts we passed the greyhound racing ban this vote and made marijuana less criminal. So that was cool.
What loosers… the Republicans lost big time and they are whining. Bush gave us 8 years of grief and we are not safer either. Did you like unemployment, loosing your savings and paying higher prices? Maybe you did? Maybe you make more than $250,000 a year? At least Obama is building a non partisan coalition and has some of teh guys who made the economy work on his side. Warren Buffet is not dummy nor his other advisers. I didn’t see Greenspan or Paulson do much to make i work. Bush Chaney has been a disaster Republicans so get over it and work to help the country. Remember McCain’s country first how about you practice what he was preaching and not me first. Sorry but some of the blogs are just dumb and I had to type this…….Say hi to Charlie and ask him what would Yogi do in this situation…..
Gerry from Devo started Yabba Gabba for kids maybe your Dad can start a kids show? Just thought of that, a new Yogi bear show with a political bent? jennifer can you imagine you and Alexis doing the voice overs? Too crazy?
I just looked through the NJ voting guide and there is nothing that talks about NO photos of voting booth machines or anything for that matter – I think you are safe…Show proof and then we can talk…LOL
That’s definately a complex looking voting mechanism. I was expecting the electronic-type machine when I went, based on the area I was voting in, but it was just these portable little booths with a pen and a big sheet of paper that were tallied by some electronic thing at the end. Pretty darn glad I voted. And H from Bos…thanks for the babble. Maybe when I have some more time I’ll go back and try to figure out what the heck all that meant.
