regardless of the reviews and opinions of those watching rosie live on tv… i had a fantastic time seeing it live. there was an entirely different feeling (i guess!) in the theater. really great energy.
and my sister stacy and i got to meet rosie AND rosie could NOT have been any nicer to us.
she was simply lovely.
here is rosie and me.
then after i met rosie (and she told me she loves whatever, martha! omg omg omg)… i had to have a drink!
we met ne-yo too! i had such a bad hair night!
and clay aiken…yes horrible picture of me but just so freaking funny with clay!
so even though it was an emotional and difficult thanksgiving… there was a bright spot! thanks rosie!!!!!
and for any of you wondering how my ear is healing… (see october blogs)
ALL BETTER!!!!

Thank you for this. I felt so bad for Rosie after feading all the negative reviews. Maybe it just didn’t translate well on tv. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself. I love your photo with Rosie!
Sally says
Ok,the ear is over. We are giving you a lot of slack, but the ear is done.
tracy says
sounds like you had a blast! love the photo of you drinking beer!
lisa y-h says
i think your hair looks great! not too big!
raquel says
jennifer, you look darling. so NOT a bad hair night! I’m glad you had a fun night, you deserved it.
Glad you got to meet your hero says
You look great with a beer in your hand. Glad that Rosie listens to the show. Glad that your ear is healing and your heart. Clay I not so sure of, he is just a little freaky looking.
royalxanadu says
I used to like Rosie. I really, really did. But she comes across as so ‘off’ now that watching her new show is uncomfortable for me.
susand says
I felt bad for Rosie, too. At least she tried! Perhaps she shouldn’t try tv specials, but just do live shows???
What bad hair??? You look very pretty in you pics. You have the most beautiful hair color.
Beverly says
Jennifer, that is so great! Glad you had a good time.
Nick says
If Rosie O’Donnell can’t make a variety show “work” then it is most likely a problem with the direction and production of the program. Rosie is probably the best available host for a variety show as she really appreciates the genre and is truly supportive of the Broadway & variety act artists. She needs to be herself, have fun with it, roll with it, be allowed to ad lib, etc. She is capable of this. Why on earth NBC hooked her up with a loser team remains a mystery. It’s easy to cast all of the blame for the perceived failure of the 1st show on Rosie, but NBC knows that it was more than just Rosie that led to this train crash. And canceling after just one night is really cruel and shortsighted. For god’s sake, there is SO much drek on television there has to be someone at NBC smart/old enough to remember how to do it properly. As if NBC has that many tricks up their sleeve to not let this show have more than one crack at success. Variety shows are among the first reality type programs and that is what made them fun to watch. One never knew if the guy spinning those stupid plates would let them all fall or if the Broadway superstar would fall off of her high heels or not, or some freaking wild contortionist, inspiring that night’s bedroom activities! It was all in fun and would be all new and fresh (and the same) the next week. Maybe someone will get a clue and try it again, this time with some real brains in the room, other than Richard Alexander and his ilk.
JN says
I think your hair looks really pretty. The photo with you and Clay is pretty funny — I had to read your caption because I wondered who the woman was!
A great idea for Sally says
Why not start your own personal blog? You could call it “What?Never!” or “Intolerantly Yours.” Here’s a clue Sally, this is a PERSONAL blog that you have the privilege of reading. The woman writing it is writing about HER life, HER ear, HER “Whatever!” If it were YOUR precious ear that had a cancer you might possibly feel differently. Or perhaps not if your callous lack of empathy is any indication. Get with the program or get lost. Better yet, remain here lurking. Don’t post any comments after seeing the “insider” pictures, reading all of the fascinating and sometimes the less fascinating things these exciting, fortunate, lucky and talented individuals feel like sharing with their fans and readers. Too bad that they can’t block the chronic malcontent thereby giving you a deep well of anguish from which to draw for your own creative endeavors. Please post your blog address when you come to your senses. Bye Sally, C U Next Tuesday!
John Adams says
Clay really had me fooled. I thought he was straight.
Mary says
You look adorable.
Emmy says
What fun pictures! Did Clay have work done? LOL. If anyone thinks Rosie’s show tanked, just go watch her documentary and remember what she does to inspire kids and how she spoke truth to power on the View. I think she’s fantastic – and I’m glad she brought brightness to you personally.
Celeste says
Jennifer, Jennifer, Jennifer! Your hair looks great in these pics. I think the style is much more natural/attractive/flattering than when it’s ‘bigger’. 🙂
D'Aun says
I love Rosie but thought her show could have been much better. Too much crammed into one hour and she seemed a little bit nervous. Hopefully, she will try it again with different people running the show. Clay looked ugly, sorry. Please tell me that was NOT makeup on his face.
You on the other hand looked truely happy that night.
Newsguy says
Why is it that the only photo without a flash is the one with you and Rosie? 🙁
Glad you had a good time though!
Late Bloomer says
The ear looks great, now cover it up when driving in the sun.
Amanda in NC says
I think that is the best your hair has looked (at least in pictures)! Funny how we all look at ourselves differently than others. I am not a Rosie fan, but I am glad you had a good time.
Ladymissgailo says
Clay needs a tad more mascara on the upper lashes, creeeepy!
smith says
There are no accidents.. THIS was when you were supposed to meet Rosie! Woo Hoo
Lori....OC california says
You look great Jennifer….and thin! yay!!
Robin from Okla says
I watched the Rosie Show and was looking forward to more. I’ve been out of the loop so didn’t know they cancelled it after one show! Geeze, I enjoyed the old time comedy show theme however could have done without political jokes, sick of anything political right now. Rosie & politics make me nervous. The Nancy Grace bit was hysterical and loved the idea of guests popping in behind doors. FANTASTIC! We NEED a new show like that.
joann says
Jen, how many shirts do you have on??? And then a sweater thing? How cold was it?
lindalou says
Jennifer – I would kill for your hair! Your color is beautiful and the pictures are adorable! I bet the night was a blast – looks like so much fun. Now that you and Rosie met, do you think she’ll be on your radio show?
Jo Ann says
Jen, I forgot to add this before I hit SUBMIT on the last comment. Honestly, I don’t understand why you pile on all these mumu type tops. It just makes you look bigger than you think you are! If you wore things that were more fitted to your waist, you would see how great your body really is. All those flappy and flowing tops are not good. Again, you do NOT have a bad body Jen, you just think you do!
Jen says
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your grey sweater…where did you get it??
Leslie_in_Seattle says
I don’t what is more shocking…the picture of your ear or with Clay Aiken! Glad you had fun! Saw it got canceled though….
lessismore says
your hair looks better than ever! seriously, really cute!
leo says
Everyone in this picture is a minority of some kind. Just an observation.

How much plastic surgery has Clay Aiken had????????

What a dream come true, too bad there wasn’t the opportunity for you and Rosie to do a video bloggy thing together. I think you two would have doing one. Maybe you could have her as a guest on Whatever Martha when you do new ones.
Ear doesn’t look too bad.

I was reading your blog, saw your picture, thought to myself, “Wow, she has great hair.” Then scroll down some more to read you think it’s not a good hair day! Love that hair!

Your hair looks really pretty!
Kelly in Florida says
You have great hair and look fabulous. I love the “A great idea for Sally” post. Really funny, sounds just like Alexis…
Cathy from NJ says
Jennifer: I am so glad you had a great time! At least you were able to get your mind off of things for a while. By the way, you look like you have lost weight. You look great! It is really shows in your face. Keep up the good work! If you didn’t lose weight, you look good anyway.
try some SANGRIA you will get hooked says
🙁
rachel says
Your hair looks great. It would look better if you took off about 5-6 inches.
lisa says
OMG, it looks like Clay Aiken was wearing mascara… !!!
Tresha68 says
Jennifer your hair looks wonderful!! I think it looks MUCH better, very pretty and natural. Is that a wax figure of Clay Aiken? Creepy.
jodi says
I have to agree with Sally. No one could posibly want to look at your ear Really. And Clay does look very freaky!
daniele says
Truly your hair is fine, it’s all the clothes I would worry about. was it a chilly night?
D'Aun says
Leo. I love you, but shut up about the minority BS. It’s over. Your brotha is in . So what did you have for Sunday dinner??? :>) Did those Colts win?
Krista S. says
Jennifer…your hair really does look great!
Dedra says
Jenny….I’m so happy that you got to finally meet RO. But, I have to say, you can’t be as excited as I was the day I met you and Alexis. I have the picture of the 3 of us on my desk at work and still talk to anyone who will listen about the big day. =)
Samantha says
What in God’s name are you wearing? Have you totally given up? You’re only 38!
Misty says
Jennifer, you look so happy. Thanks for sharing.
leo to D'Aun says
D’Aun. I love you too. I meant all the people in the pictures are minorities in a good and positive way. I wish Barack Obama was really my brother. I have a hellava cold, I had tomato soup with PBJ sandwiches, all I was hungary for. I think she baked a ham. Colts beat Cleveland 10-6 in a boring game.
Rosie is a has been says
Nick sorry Rosie runs the show….She has been a jerk and out of control for years. She is lucky to still have her girlfriend. She should take More meds, and try to act normal instead of the over the top behavior. Feel sorry for her she just needs a new doctor.
David Bondarchuck says
Hey there Jennifer
I just got back from NYC, where last tuesday I sat front row at a Martha Show taping. After the show Martha took some questions of the audience, and while I pay attention and already knew the secrets to my household and entertaining duties, I asked her about you. She said you were doing well however still cooping. Just wanted to write in to say I love you girl and I love your blog. Your hilarious keep your head up.
rachel says
I am happy to see your ear. I had the same problem only in the corner of my eye. Glad it is healing.
Matt V (Beat;-)) says
I love Rosie, and miss her daily show…I wish she would have done better this time around though….glad you got to meet her Jennifer! Now what the hell is up with Clay???? He needs a stylist, and someone to say “enough” with the make up! He looks like something out of a horror movie!
NoMoreMooMoos! says
More hippy moo-moos? You look like you just fell out of a time machine from 1974. You know they DO make some very stylish plus-size clothes these days.
TokenBlackGirl says
yeah for you Jennifer, glad you had a great time.
Jeremy says
I bet that’s a root beer!!! LOL I wish I lived in NY so I could have your experiences 🙁 but I’m stuck in Detroit…ick 😉

What is this sick obsession with overbearing rude bitches you already have ALEXIS….why would you want to befriend ROSIE…..hahahahahaha

JD says
I think Jennifer is only pretending to drink that beer.
Cole says
Jesus…clay is on ugly motherfucker…always surprises me how hideous he is. You look lovely, though!
Lisa says
If that was a bad hair day, I would like to have one of those every day! And I thought your outfit was very au courant.
Brian says
Rosie looks like she’s goosing you in that pic! lol
lisa Warnick says
I just wanted to let you all know that I really am not sure I like your show that is upcoming. We all know that we all have mother-daughter relationship problems but regardless I don’t approve insulting a mother on national tv or anywhere for that matter. And if you do have problems they are surley are not a source of Good entertainment and anyone who thinks it is entertaining I would question this. This is coming from a tv watcher that could go on for quite a while with Mother problems. but national tv is not the place to do so

Sally to Rosie... says
Oh God Rosie, please don’t ask… Apparently this is a topic of very significant interest to a few obsessed fans. I have found in life, folks generally don’t care to see other’s minor surgical scars, but maybe that is just a little modesty or common sense on my part. We’ve all got them, but is it really necessary to show them to the world? Is it not perhaps possible to keep personal health issues private? Maybe its just me, but I think less is more in this department, photographically distribitutionally speaking . Jennifer, hope you are feeling better, I’ve just lost a brother at 44, after he was sick for 30 years with Juvenile Diabetes, and I took care of him for the last five years. It was excrutiating to watch him suffer, but that is my point. There are levels of suffering. He never had a normal life, couldn’t go to college or keep a job. His mind was fine and he had a great sense of humor, thank goodness. He went blind at 28, lost a leg, had numerous organ transplants, had cancer, was in and out of hospice, and spent the last year in the hospital, so I understand your pain. He got sick as a teenager and never got to have a life, but he really did make the best of it. I also lost a sister several years ago, at 31, who burned to death, but survived for 26 days in the burn unit, which was cruel beyond words. ****Nobdoby can lecture me on empathy.**** Perhaps that is why I am rather sanguine about the little stuff, I know that as the years go by, there are inevitable losses. We will all lose siblings or parents, a horrific loss when one is young. My Father is also already gone, so it is left to myself and surviving sister and brother to endlessly console our Mother, an effort that cannot succeed. The loss of two children is emotionally basically beyond redemption. The little stuff is just so insignificant. I think your ear is going to be just fine, and so too, will you. However, easing the pain from losing your Mother, the biggest loss next to losing a child, will take – time, the great healer. Chin up, friend, you will get through it. They say there is nothing stronger than a Mother’s love, but sometimes I wonder….
Karen in MI says
I thought the Rosie show was great – I think the television reviewers were paid to say that – just like they only show the news on TV they want us to hear.
