He is cute. They say that birds are great company. Only thing is they are very dirty!!!!!!!!
That’s a pretty bird. I’ve always been creeped out by the superstition that says that a bird that accidentally flies into a home portends death. Yikes.
Jen,I have a reason to despise birds. Histoplasmosis. I have the ocular (eye) version thanks to being exposed to bird poo! I have lesions on my retina that started causing blind spots; went to the retinologist and now have injections of the chemo drug Avastin into my eyeball every six weeks. I didn’t grow up on a chicken farm, but my childhood friend had them and we gathered eggs, etc. Now as an adult, I live in an area w/ poultry farms so am still exposed. It’s a very common thing and can also settle in the lungs. Chickens! Ugh! Still tasty grilled though.
loved hearing you and alexis fawn over the bird today on air – sounded like you were having fun…and he is really cute!
I used to have a Yellow Nape Just like senor! She loved my Grandmothers aide, so I gave her to her!
Senor is really cute! Hope you eventually got him to say “hello”! I’m trying to get rid of the image of two people in the shower..having sex, with the bird perched in there with them….Thanks Alexis! 🙂
I, too, do not like birds…they creep me out…don’t even like to hear them chirp! But, I love pictures and statuary of birds…what’s up with that? Never heard about the superstitions….
i too am superstitious about birds. I had beautiful wallpaper in my home but it had birds on it, so I had it removed. silly .. for some reason many cultures had this belief. but I do love birds and their chirping and keep feeders as they are so pretty.
i listen mostly every day …u guys are retarded thats what we love , my daughter alexis and myself , its nice to see pictures of you , your beautiful and your husband is hottttt ar u wearin fuhr , its getting cold out ….sooo funny
who cares about the bird you are looking gorgeous and I need to know where you shop for clothes. xo
It’s true about the Histoplasmosis, I worked for a chimney company and that is one reason to have your chimney cleaned after birds get inside. Your family can get very sick.
Superstitions old wives tales if you are not around an old wife to share there truisms….. ( Birds are dirty and do carry disease wild birds have parasites and the like ) so wow— an infected bird flies into the house — people die Wow. go figure
to bring good luck…….he needed to let him poop on your shoulder or for even better luck.. bullseye on the head
Good luck Jennifer.
Birds bring good luck.
You got things backwards again.
Beautiful in nature, birds are disgusting in captivity. I commend your bravery but get that thing off your arm!
I don’t think birds bring bad luck but I do believe there is something out there wear some people have all the luck and others like ME have alot of BAD luck. We always feel like we live on an Indian burial ground. When I get better(you see, get better)I’m going to City Hall to research that. Gotta go, getting my hair blown out. Amy
creeps me out . . .!
I have three birds. Two African Grey parrots (very smart, better vocabulary that some people I know!) and a B&G Macaw. They are very clean, get regular check-ups and are also very healthy. I have friends who do not like them and I do not like wild birds. They are nasty, dirty rats with feathers. One friend who hated/feared birds all of her life was able to get past it by slowly associating with my bird, eventually being able to hold him.
Anyway, I don’t care if people hate/fear birds or not, I feel the same way about centipedes. BUT. I just have to say that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS LUCK! Good/bad/what-ever. There is choice, free will, the power of the self to manifest positive or negative in one’s life. How convenient to blame a bird, a hex, “bad luck” for whatever bad things happen in one’s life. Of course there are some things out of our control but… When I hear the word “luck” I think of swarms of people from Hawaii flocking to Vegas with their good-luck charms, positive that this time will be the one! Just carry that little frog and some Hawaiian salt when you play that slot machine and you’ll hit the big one!
Birds bringing bad luck? Never heard of that! Where does that come from?
One of my sons wants a bird so badly. I like birds, from afar, but I’m sort of afraid of them. Like to hold them.
My friend who has had several says they’re like little people!
Looks like you’re really giving him a chance, Jennifer. I’m proud of you!
i think birds are like snakes…but snakes are honest about what they are. the birds lie with pretty feathers…
gross. i hope it didn’t have the bird flu
the bird show was awsome!
