Hey Jennifer, I got some Martha Stewart roses in a beautiful vases for Valentines day. However, the roses looked terrible, they were very brown/brusied, and really just dried out looking. They didnt perk up after adding water either. I love Martha and would try and order something else but I was just disapointed that they came half dead. Maybe the journey, who knows.

What radio station did you used to listen to in the 80’s?

LOL! “not just because I work for the company!” HILARIOUS. Maybe had you NOT said that I’d MIGHT be convinced…

This stuff is crap, and you can’t even believe the prices. Jennifer you are so out of touch, some people don’t have parents with lots of money. Who the hell would want to receive a strainer as a gift basket. One of the worst suggestions ever. Way too expensive, three thumbs down.

I once ordered flowers from Martha for my mother. The roses were old and rather than be an arrangement each stem had a small vial of water. My mother is an invalid and my father had to put the arrangement together – I saw it the next day and the roses were all limp and falling over – not at all like the picture on the web sight. I sent an email to complain but nothing ever happened and the complaint was never even acknowledged. From then on I decided to support my LOCAL florist.

NO,something from Martha NOT RIGHT???? How can that be???? But that took courage on your part to say so especially on this blog – starting to realize it’s just another place for advertising for Martha.

This is becoming another place just to tout Martha Stewart stuff. It’s a bit annoying, but, you do what you have to do…

I used them twice and was disspaionted twice. I guess we should have used the name Koppelman when ordering! LOL

I had the same issue with the sad looking roses which I sent to my daughter for V-day via MSL.They look pretty good now but I think my local grocery store will be where I purchase my next bunch.
I hope you get time to post a photo of your gift. Thanks.

this blog is NOT an advertisement for all things martha stewart but we do tend to write about what we like. in this case, i like a basket i received from martha flowers.
just sharing. nothing more, nothing less.

I can’t speak for the current ‘Martha’ Flowers’ which, I believe is part of the 1-300-flowers company, However, when it was just ‘Martha’s Flowers’ I had sent an orchid plant to my daughter-in-law. The delivery was a day late, and when I emailed they were totally apologetic and gave me a credit for my next order. So, I hope that you dissatisfied customers let MSLO know. I can’t imagine that Martha would not insist on great customer service. It is who she is.

heidi I am convinced that you visit this blog solely to dump on Martha and the Whatever girls. I bet if the webmaster did a search of your name it would show that every comment you have made was some negative rant. I do know I have commented and mentioned your snarky attitude in the past. You are just going to have to accept that Martha is a very wealthy woman but more than that, you need to realize that she is a self-made success story. If you are envious of people with money, maybe you should stop whining about it, get off your butt and do something to change your miserable life. That’s the great thing about free enterprise –anyone can be successful in this country with a little hard work and determination. Your invidiousness is NOT attractive and I am surprised that jenny hutt even bothered to respond to it. I have ordered flowers many times and been pleased. AND a strainer is a great idea! It would make a sweet kitchen arrangement and it would not end up in a cabinet with dozens of other vases! Shellie, ellie, heidi. . . why don’t you create a martha-haters’ website? Or would that take effort?
Cathy in AZ says
I’ve ordered flowers via mail twice and have NOT been pleased with what was received. Now I always call a (independent, if possible) local florist if I need flowers delivered and like the fact that I am supporting a local business. Have always been pleased 🙂 Please consider encouraging your listeners to support their local businesses (especially local growers) to help the economy in their area.

I order from 1800flowers often and have never been disappointed. Their prices are in line with local florists, often lower, but equal or better quality. The Martha line is a little pricier, but I have ordered one of those arrangements as well and it was beautiful! I’ve used the other “mail order” florists and have never been satisfied so I was excited to see Martha’s collection come to the only (in my opinion) reliable source.
and sometimes people just happen to like the product that their company makes and/or is associated with…isn’t it wonderful when you can work for a company that has a product you can believe in?
