OMG….Totally! The same spot as you! I freaked out this AM!! I swear I got more oveer night! Totally depressed!
.Getting colored this week.. Cute Dog!! You are not alone!
Arlene says
Yep I have to have it colored every 3 weeks now. Used to be once a month. I even leave the salon with wet hair because I don’t want to be there any longer than I have to!!! Hazel is a cutie.
Sarah N. says
Jenny, did your hair start growing in completely gray in your late twenties or was it that you had little gray hairs coming in? I ask because I’m 26 and ever since I was 25 I’ve found three. It’s driving me nuts!
whateverradiofan says
Looks like Hazel is suffering from the same problem. But, both you bitches look great.
IZ says
You know I’ve been sick with a miserable virus for a week and am not really a dog person but that little dog put a smile on my face today, thanks !
Cat says
Hey Jennifer it appears hair turns gray due to a missing enzyme. Check out this news video, it’s about getting rid of gray hair permanently without coloring!

does hazel blog with Francesca and Sharkie? Je t’aime, Hazel.
Matt V (Beat;-)) says
My clients in the modeling business ….want me to go grey….ugh. Apparently grey hair and a younger face, on men…sells! And color on men is sick!
LM says
Jennifer, I am the same age as you and my gray is is also getting worse and worse. I too have to color every month. At first I (foolishly) thought there might be something wrong with their technique over at the salon which was causing my gray to return too quickly. So I asked my hairdresser if there was anything she could do…and she had to break it to me that no, I am just getting old! UGH
Nicole E says
YOU are NOT ALONE!! Started graying mid-20’s. Now almost 34.. I swear I have more gray than blonde. UGH!! SO annoying!
Cute doggie!
Christine says
Wait till it gets whiter! I thinking about what to do next..so I’m pulling the Nicole Kidman look until Easter.(growing gray out) Might just get a Gwen Stefani look. What do you think? Also, I like Martha’s hair…just tired of dying hair
lorrie says
hazel is so cute you should post more pictures of her.
E says
Let it go gray. Young redheads always make wonderful
grey/white heads. I’m serious! Wear it full and (a little less) long and WHITE! It would not make you look old. Refined and confident, yes. Old, no. Now, as for the carpet…
rachel says
I’m with you on that too. I need to go every 3 weeks or at least I should go. I try to stretch it to at least 4 weeks. I really can’t afford it. My hairdresser uses a darker color because the grey’s (white’s) are so hard to color around the temple. Your’s don’t look bad at all.
Nicole says
Hazel is super cute! Is that an “invisible fence” collar she has on? Those bum me out–no matter how you dice it, the dog is getting an elecrical shock, right?
Sarah says
Honestly, I don’t see the gray!!
Dresden Disney-Dior says
It’s SO nice to see Hazel again! Aww, she’s smiling for the camera. Hazel makes me smile. Thank Heaven you’re not Hazel — she’s REALLY getting gray, for such a young lady!
linda pittsburgh says
Well jennifer, i do not color my hair,I used to though.
I have white hair mixed with brown and I may not color mine?
Not sure if i will …since i will be 59 this coming week….
too old to try and hide gray hair and wrinkles and stuff…
I did buy myself some clothes and shoes to make me feel better..shopping sometimes does that for me…
I’d call in but you know why i don’t…:(
kelly says
you have nice eyes
Connie G says
I started in my late 20 in the center front, dull gray, if it went white it wouldn’t be too bad I guess, but no color dull gray, yuck. So I have colored now for about 30 years.
Angela says
Hazel is so CUTE! Please post more pictures of her!
Erica from Ohio says
Yes, I’ve been getting gray since my mid to late 20’s as well. I don’t color my hair as often as I should, but only because I’m lazy and can’t afford to go to the salon very often. Sucks!
sarah gaynor says
grey is for grannies
zoe the bichon says
not to worry, Nicole, dogs hear a noise before they are shocked, and, hence avoid field in which they would feel anything. the level of “shock” can be adjusted, too. the system works, allowing dogs to run around their own yards. the real danger occurs when dogs are left alone in yard and an unleashed aggressive dog enters. when properly used, electric fence systems are endorsed by vets and animal advocates. not unkind or painful.
Jane M says
Know all too well about the gray hairs! LOVE LOVE LOVE your dog!
Beverly says
Yep, mee too. I’m 46 and just had color yesterday. It’s suppose to be highlighted, but turned out more pinkish….ugh. Now I have to go back and get “foiled”. I look like my mother-in-law and it’s freaking me out!!!
Canada Kathy says
I have the mini version of Hazel. She is SO CUTE!!!! Being a dog lover, please post more pics of her, she makes me smile. 🙂
Robin says
I’m a every 3 weeker and am getting sick of it. My hair is an Auburn (thanks to Clarol). Anyway, I’m thinking of trying a blonder now. I’m so sick of coloring but hate going gray.
bearzimages.com says
Hey thought you might find this article interesting. “No longer a gray area: Our hair bleaches itself as we grow older” -Going gray is caused by a massive build up of hydrogen peroxide due to wear and tear of our hair follicles. The peroxide winds up blocking the normal synthesis of melanin, our hair’s natural pigment. https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2009-02/foas-nla022309.php

My naturally red hair is starting, at age 39, to come in silvery white here and there. Not a lot, not even most, but alas only in little patches so it looks ugly. Like, always about 50 hairs on the left side of the crown of my head (where it’s difficult to tweeze them out) (‘cuz trust me: I would if I could).
I just starting dyeing my hair 2 months ago as a result. I get a strawberry blonde rinse that doesn’t change the colour of my red hair but does warm up the silver enough that it blends in with my natural color: no longer the stark contrast.
Julie in Texas says
Me too! I finally gave up and let my hair be gray.
CKNJ says
Yup, the gray’s are coming in fast and furious ( in lots of different places!)
Hazel is so cute – thanks for sharing. Be well…

Hey Jenn,
I totally understand! I am older than you (46 next month) and have been graying since I was a teenager. One of my friends has redish/brown hair and after much neglect she finally re-colored her hair and looks 10 years younger. I am tempted to try color myself.
luv,
debs
ladymissgailo says
know I saw grey all over the side of my head by my ear,,,you can really see them in daylight when driving.
Go blonder or lighter this time..I think it cover it longer.
My friends husband was going totally grey and lost his job (which was commercial real estate), and now is taking care of all the things at home which is a lot but less stressful AND HIS HAIR IS GROWING BACK BLACK LIKE IT ORIGINALLY WAS!!!
K.I.M. says
I am quite a few years older than you (I’m 48), but have been coloring my whole head since my early 20’s…not only is it a drag, but quite expensive…my roots start coming in after about 21/2 weeks, where did they come up with the 6 week rule?? I’m not ready to be gray yet, but I’m tired!!!(of coloring, that is)
Oh, and my 14 yearold son loves to tell me my gray is starting to show, as if I didn’t already see it!!!
Thanks for sharing!
rachel says
are you going to make new “whatever” shows? Love to watch them, you are so funny.
Sandy/Scottsdale says
Hazel makes everyone smile. Dogs ALWAYS put people in a good mood.
DollyP. says
Honey you could always wear a wig. The freedom a wig provides is liberating. Oh course you would have to cut and style your hair. I think you should go short and feel the freedom of a cute short haircut– you will be surprised. I think you have curly hair — the styling products on the market now a days allow for more creativity
Bennys Mom says
Your Hazel is the female version of our Benny!!!
Karen says
Isn’t there some way we can start a gray is “in” trend? Make gray “cool”! I can hardly afford the hairdresser anymore. I guess in this economy they are the only people not hurting. Gray is cool! Gray is cool! Gray is cool!
Susan says
I just love your dog..stupid question but is she a Labradoodle??? guess she could be just a poodle.but looks so cute and larger than maybe just a poodle. If she is a labradoodle..how do you like her as a mixed breed? I really have been thinking of getting one..but have two other old dogs that are still our pets..11 yr. old shih-tzu and also a 13 yr. old Sharpei…college dog of my daughters..came and never left! Ha.
Let me know..or mention on your show..love your new ring by the way and my daughter has the same problem with her hair..too young to go gray tho..as you are too young.

Hazel is so cute! Love her pink collar!
Holy Crap! says
Keep coloring…that would look pretty scary all gray!!!
Jen says
Jennifer, I color my hair regularly also.I have gray on top and a few strands here and there. It didn’t really bother me too much until my 8 yr old daughter would point it out to everyone!!!
Linda says
When men color their beards and hair howscome it looks like they colored their hair LOL:)
I mean come on!
Why do men look so freaky when they dye the hair?
Oh maybe cuz they use the darkest color they can get? and maybe they did not have black hair ever till they doused it with a bottle of dye?
oh,but people are not born with
PURPLE
PINK
YELLOW
BLUE
etc hair either ….
have the best day ever!
and yaw talk about dying ones hair with freaky colors ew…
Tedde - Julie says
Jennifer, I do not know if this is true, but stress and anxiety, which I know you have, is a big cause of Gray hair. I am 42 and my hair only has a few grays. so my hair stylist tells me. Just keep coloring!
Holly says
J,
Got grey too and always put off colering my hair for too long b/c there’s always something more fun too do….like play with my blue Standard Poodle, Livvy! Same color as Hazel – or is she a Doodle? What a face!
bridget says
ur eyes have a crazy cool color in this pic!
ms says
Jennifer I have the same issue and if my colorist forgets that part to color I use Anatasia brow gel. Its like a mascara and it colors it and stays all day even if it rains. I hate this getting gray thing. I also have to go to the salon every 4 weeks. What happened to my strawberry blonde hair??? I had to go darker because it is a hard color to match even with highlights. I also get these grays that stick up sometimes and I use that brow gel to tame them.
Rachel says
Stress and anxiety has nothing to do with graying hair. It’s just something that happens to us as we GRACEFULLY age.
Crystal says
i am only 26 and I’ve been coloring my hair for two years now every other month. I should have known I would go gray early- my dad was completely gray at 31 when i was born. Oh well-
Hazel is soooooooooooo cute !
Karon says
Sorry about your going grey ,Jennifer.I am 44 yrs.old and a real redhead and have never had to die my hair.No grey hairs to hide.Lucky me!
Gabe says
Nothing we can do about our genes! I could color my hairline every 10 days, and don’t have a single grey hair anywhere else… I think soap and sweat wears the color away from the hairline faster… Anyway, look at those PERFECTLY TWEEZED eyebrows! You go, girl – grey or not. It’s just a color!
Anne in NJ says
Hazel is adorable. My Molly Ringwald is a Standard and is so photogenic and loves getting groomed. Poodles Rock, Grey hair sucks balls!
I just got the grays on my temple done last weekend. I feel like a new woman!
Housewives, get a life says
Why do you post stupid responses about your own experiences, e.g., “I’ve been coloring my hair since I was 26”. Do you really thing that is knowledge sharing?
N says
To “Housewives”–why do you insist on being rude? People share experiences in order to make others feel like they are not alone and that others are in the same boat. It is a tendancy most people have as it is a normal human interaction and if you have issues with it why bother reading all of the responses?
Kathy says
I got my first gray hair at 19 and have been coloring every since. I’m 43 now and believe it or not my hair is in excellent condition.
Marcy says
OMG LOVE Hazel. I grew up with standard poodles – had 3 of them. They are amazing dogs. I had 2 brown and 1 apricot. Now I have a pug, who i love more than life itself. Although I know you and Alexis don’t think pugs are cute 🙁
Monica says
HAZEL IS SUPER ADORABLE, AND WHAT A CUTE NAME
