Pelican says
Looks like episcleritis.
Nicole says
yeah, had that before. do you wear contact lenses? my doctor said it was probably too much protein built up so I quickly changed my lenses.
rachel says
Pink eye? Keep your hands washed after touching it.
D'Aun says
I agree with Nicole and Rachel. Also, it might be time to buy new mascara!
Pink Eye says
Probably blepharoconjunctivitis, a bacterial infection of the eye and eyelid. Warm compress 3x a day, wash the eye with “no tears” children’s shampoo 1x a day. Don’t touch your eye and wash your hands. You mentioned the gym at the resort you went to looked a little run-down. They probably don’t clean it very well, and you picked up the infection from the machines (gyms are CRAWLING with bacteria). Your opthamologist will probably prescribe you steroids, but don’t self-medicate, especially with regards to the eye.
cc says
doing that this week – I avoided drops for a few days and the pain was unbearable, and it was GROSS to look at. It wasn’t pink eye, it was a viral infection. A few days of those droparoos and you’ll be fine.
diana says
i’ve had it from my allergies – when i’ve touched my one cat i’m allergic to (have 4 cats, only one bothers me that way, weird) and rubbed my eyes. my actual Eyeball will swell up that way.
what was the name of the drops you used though?? would be very helpful to have those in the future
Ross says
hmmm looks like the drops did the trick
Sonja says
Looks like you had an allergic reaction to something. Could have been pet hair, or a chunk of dust that flew in your eye either inside or outside the house. Steriod drop is a good solution to fix it until tomorrow. You may also want to pitch your mascara.
Victoria in austin, tx says
Go right the the ophthalmologist and get diagnosed, do not use drops, do not rub eyes. Be careful my sweetie pie.
nola says
pink eye
Diana says
I have had the same thing or what looks like the same thing. It happens to me when the pollen count is high and I use a medication called Patonol given to me by my optometrist.
I am glad you are going to your doctor tomorrow. Good luck!
michelle says
Make sure to throw out all your eye make-up just in case. And wash your pillow cases…It’s probably smart just to check with your DR..Keep us posted!!
Rhonda says
Hubby is an ophthalmologist. I would have him look at the photo of your eyes but he is on the golf course right now. It’s good you are going to the doctor tomorrow. It could be a number of things but the doctor will figure it out.
Arlene says
Its “PINK EYE” my daughter had it in both eyes. Got it at school. Need meds ASAP. It spread like wild fire.
Noah says
Looks like pink eye.
ugh says
who cares?
Dana in Philly says
My son had that happen when he was little. It was so bad that the entire white of his eye swelled up around the iris. It looked like it was going to ooze out. I gave him benadryl and took him to the pediatrician. She had never seen anything like it, but the benadryl was definitely the way to go. He had an allergic reaction to grass. It has never happened again, but it was very scary.
Alison says
Everyone’s being so technical….it looks exactly like my eyes do when I get pet hair or dander in them. Goes away on it’s own, but normal eye drops and allergy med. helps. And you don’t have to necessarily be allergic to animals for it to happen, because I’m not.
AP says
Those steroids really helped perk up your whole eye area!!! MUCH BETTER AFTER!!! WHERE CAN I GET THAT???
TYVM
amyrabuf says
Umm, EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Bearz says
Get a bottle of colloidal silver for such occasions. Squeeze a drop or two of it in the infected area (the eye in this case) then voila infection be gone. There’s so much crap being deliberately sprayed these days, who knows what’s made a nest in your eye?
Emily from Philly says
My vote:
Conjunctival cyst from dry eye
nursekenny says
It could be pink eye, but it’s hard to tell from a pic. Never self medicate that is what dr’s are for. The over the counter drops are good for things like dust and allergies. You need a Doctor to look at it and let you know what it is. You don;t want to mess with your eyes. Or anything for that matter.
laurie says
Your eyebrows look great!!!
Ariel says
Was it like two little distinct bubbles and the rest was swollen? My husband had that the other day. But after a few days it went away. Keep us posted!
jill says
that’s what my eyes look like when i have an allergic reaction. whatever is in the air (pollen etc) will bother my eyes causing me to rub and scratch them. over the counter eye drops will help but its best to get a doctors advice.
Mary Land says
Looks like your drops worked but most important: I’m impressed there are no wrinkles around those pretty eyes!
gina says
it’s not pink eye-it’s allergies-I had a huge bubble on my eye and it was allergies-never knew the eyeball could bubble-YUK
Emmy says
Steroid drops helped me too when I had something similar. Sometimes your immune system can be low and cause the condition, so it might not necessarily be pink eye. Ask the doctor if it could be irisitus.
Donna in NJ says
that can happen from any type of allergic reaction… if i touch my cat and them touch my eye accidentally it’s like my eye blows up and starts oozing out of the socket- gross! take benadryl!
wildwhit says
looks like Allergy Eyes…you must have been gardening HA Ha Ha
Judy Cartier says
It’s not pink eye. I have it once in awhile. It goes away the next day with me. Seeing your opthamalogist is the only way to know for sure.
bob says
You have got to be kidding…pictures of your gross eye….I sure hope hope you don’t develop a yeast infection…
John Adams says
In the medical profession, it’s called protein-in-the-eye syndrome.
Alison in Arizona says
Don’t think I’m weird Jennifer, but your eyes are such a pretty color!
Ladymisgailo says
I always used to get that kinda of stuff all the time. it’ sensitivity to crap in the environment. And get your self an Oreck standing air filter, it’s worth it.
ladymisgailo says
yes and new mascara!
K Cali says
I don’t think it’s pink eye. I get that ‘bubble’ from allergies. Go to the doctor, he’ll give you a prescription to will help. Don’t rub it. You can damage your cornea. Try a cold washcloth or nearly frozen tea bag right over the eye. It’ll help the swelling and will take away the itching.
Tom says
Jennifer with the crap diet you eat waking up with anything wrong is not surprising.

Welcome back LAdies & Gents!
Been a long time….:(
ok so…I saw the thingy about an eye that drooped like that.
I think it had something to do with a heart problem?
Or a tumor?
Not sure?
AnnieC says
hi Jennifer,
I hope your eye is better. I have the same two-tone eye color thing that you have going on: brown and green. I never know what color to call them, like on my driver’s license…..yours are more blue-green, whereas mine are more olive-y green. anyway, have a good day!
Hanna says
Whew, you ARE homely!
Charleen says
I have had the same thing and it is definitely allergies. I always get this when I am around my mother-in-laws cats.
