some of you (most of you) know how chatty i am… and this goes across all methods of communication. i am chatty when speaking and, frankly, chatty while texting. who can possibly respond adequately all the time.
i have high standards when it comes to the written response. and although my husband is up to the task, he’s busy, and not always in the mood to cater to one of my gazillion needs.
well, now with the emoticon, he can text all i need to read without laboring over the content.
like the cornell school employee who ended each salacious sentence with
"!!! :)" my husband is using his own favorite symbols to show his feelings.
he uses the devil when i’ve typed something naughty, or a smiley when i’ve said something he likes. and often he uses the confused smiley…because sometimes i don’t make a lot of sense.
you get the idea.
(btw, when my husband read this blog post, he said i am a loser and then used the emoticon for "i need a drink"…which is a mug of beer.)

when i suggested my husband use an exclamation point to show enthusiasm in his texts he started using them with every sentence. lol… we don’t have the “emotions” option in our text messaging system… maybe i should show him the ol’ 😉 and the 😛
hes right and btw your chatty habit is a need for attention.
Hahahahah! Thats cute. Makes me think how often I use emoticons. I use them alot too based on whatever it is I type as well. Its hard not to write a novel when you text. Although it sounds like you have cute little icons on your phones, my phone doesn’t have that! >:
Go KEITHY!!!!
(sorry-posted to wrong blog earlier)
Jennifer, you have restored my faith in the co existence of so many forms of communication. Now, can we show the younger generation that they should learn more communication skills than just texting?
Wow. Loser, is right!! LOL

Too funny!!
are these for iPhone or Blackberry?
Funny.
:>
I like the iEmoji app cuz it has the little pile of poop for BS
You’re great Jennifer!
hi jen. I love this idea. I should make my husband use it. Those one word replies are irritating. And I LOVE that you are chatty and emotional and expressive. You are the perfect antidote for Alexis who is not so effusive!
Jennifer I love this post….our poor husbands trying to keep up with our endless stream of texting and chats and requests for help……all they can do is smile 🙂
Emoji for the iPhone is the best!
