Since BP executives answer “I don’t know” in all the hearings, I say we not “waterboard” them, but “oilboard” them until they answer direct questions and/or discover a way to fix the damage they’ve caused. People have been imprisoned for lying to the government before, so why should they not be? All the BP executives should spend one day in prison for every day the oil flows into the environment.

Greedy Mr.Cheney had SECRET deregulation meetings (you know,Cheney, who is associated with Haliburton) Well Mr.Cheney and his cohorts did not feel it was necessary to have what they call an acoustic switch, basically a switch that would have prevented this…a $500K drop in the bucket that would have prevented this disaster…we are the only country in the WORLD that is not required to have this switch on our rigs…don’t thank Obama…he just got stuck with the mess…he didn’t create it. Obama wanted to drill more, yes, but his plan wasn’t put into action yet…this would be a big thank you to the Bush administration.

Meanwhile Sarah Palin is still promoting off shore drilling…who really cares about the planet?

And for your information, although BP has given to every recent U.S.presidential campaign, they have given more to Barak Obama than any other in the last twenty years. So Obama is going to, and I quote, ” put the heel of my boot on the throat of BP” after he’s taken more money from them than any other presedential candidate? That’s why I commented that BP can now be called o(B)ama (P)atsies. And before you fly off the handle again, I am not criticizing him for taking money from BP. Unfortunately big money rules both corrupt parties in our political system.
We all want cheap oil so we are all part of this problem. At this point we are all willing to sacrifice whatever is necessary to keep it flowing.
Not 5% of Americans would be willing to pay more for gas to insure that drilling, refining, and so forth could be made cleaner and safer.
I just wonder how many people had “BP” on their minds before this spill, as they went about pumping gas in their cars, too keep them going too work, church, the store, soccer practice, excercise classes, ballet classes, dr’s appointments, you name it. How many of us were thinking 2 days before the spill, “they need to stopped drilling offshore. I no I wasn’t, and I don’t drive and don’t even own a car, I ride the bus. But being honest as long as my bus or taxi has the gas it needs to run me around. Yes, this is a wake up call for us to take action, I aready have with my CONGRESSMAN, SENATOR, GOVERNOR AND MAYOR.
You would think these idiots would have something in place ready for this type of disaster…..commented on Alexis’s blog about the fish gasping for air and the fragile marshlands are home to countless birds etc. The endangered sea turtles are washing up on the shore and it is so sad. Of course there are attorney’s with ads about lawsuits….somebody will get rich out of this! I am sad to say that my dad was an engineer and worked on oil rigs but he always said that this was going to happen so the oil companies should have been prepared! Don’t get me started about Obama and his less than quick response….we can all stop talking about the response to Katrina and Bush now!!
