i am a grown up who chooses to wear different versions of the SAME thing every day.
it isn’t a lack of originality or a lack of style.. frankly the fact that i wear the same thing over and over again IS my style.
when i exercise, i wear hard tail boot cut leggings and typically an american apparel tank top or lululemon let it loose tank (or similarly shaped lululemon top as pictured) and always an american apparel raglan sweatshirt.
in the fall and winter i wear black milk clothing leggings , vintage steve madden platform boots, and a not very tight black top (typically. sometimes i do vary the color on top). I am going through a foot wear crisis, I haven not been keeping up and I feel left behind, my peers know all these great websites to shop from. My sister got me those boots from ShoesFella.com, see I’m just old faasioned, don’t you have to try on a shoe to know if it fits?
in the spring and summer i wear maxi dresses- usually made by daughters of the revolution. (i’m obsessed with their butterfly dresses- have a bunch)
i think i derive comfort from the routine of wearing almost the same thing each day…one less thing for me to have to decide.
clearly i have issues.
do you have a clothing uniform you choose to wear?
what is it?

Jeans & a polo during the work week. Occasionally a slacks & polo day but that’s the exception.

Jen,
I am no different, I wear the same version of the same clothing pretty much every day. once in a while I will change it up, but on that day I am so not comfortable.
Hugs…Julie

I went to private school my whole life. Always had a uniform. Now that i have entered the working world, i created my own uniform of a black sweater and dress pants. i had to wear a skirt my whole life so i never want to wear skirts. some people have noticed i wear variations of the same outfit but i always try to change my accessories. for a long time i tried to change this and wear clothing with color or pattern but then i am uncomfortable the whole day. i like how u stated the fact that u wear the same thing and that this “IS” ur “style”. thanks jenny, miss u on TV!

Ok, I am totally a uniform girl – as well as a stylist – so I agree with you in that a uniform doesn’t necessarily equal lack of style. I just know what works for me and its those styles/cuts that gives me my very distinct and often complimented style. I have a look! That said, I keep things fresh with accessories as well wearing on trend colors/patterns, etc.
But let’s talk about those “vintage Steve Madden” boots, shall well? I had a pair and loved them way back when…but they wouldn’t be considered vintage I’m afraid – just old and out of style. I know you love them – but its time to break away Jenny! LOL. Please I’m begging you! Platforms are so hot right now – I know you can find a new pair that doesn’t scream 1998!
I do love your maxi dresses though. 🙂

I truly believe in having a uniform. Like KillDeer I go for jeans and a plain t-shirt, usually dark.

Truly love you Jennifer….here comes the “but”……but leggings are not pants! Put on some pants! How about some super skinny jeans in every color? Google Huffington Posts Am I Wearing Pants flow chart….hilarious

I rock the typical blogger uniform of yoga pants and tees. When I have to get out of the house and won’t see anyone in particular, I put on a bra and switch to denim.
Yep. I’m in a bit of a rut!
