Don’t yours?
We are a society that often jumps at the chance to share the negative- Well today I feel like sharing the good stuff… the really really good stuff.
SO…
My son Jacob is so wise and so bright and so damn adorable.
I feel lucky each day that he’s my son.
I hear Lauryn Hill’s “To Zion” song and think of my boy:
“And I thank you for choosing me
to come through unto life to be
a beautiful reflection of his grace
for i know that a gift so great
is only one Gd could create
and im reminded everytime i see your face”
He will be 14 next week.
And my daughter Raquel, also bright, loves to sing and dance. And is exactly the daughter I dreamed about having as a young girl.
I don’t post many videos of her- but this one I couldn’t resist.
She saw the movie “Pitch Perfect” and then taught herself this song.
Tell me something good about people in your life YOU love.

Of course you’re proud – She’s awesome! I also heard her on the radio with you and Raquel is so mature and wise for her age. It’s no coincidence that you posted this today and I checked out your website. I realized recently that I project my low self esteem to my kids therefore expecting them to not be successful, etc. My kids are kind, considerate, funny and smart and there is no reason they shouldn’t be successful (just because I was confused about career choices, etc.)
Thanks Jenny!

Jenny, loved this post. 🙂 It’s good to share the GOOD about our kids. It fosters confidence in them to know that we care about the good stuff too.
Your daughter is amazing….my 15 year old and I watched her and wondered how the heck she was able to sing and keep that beat. 🙂
Maggie says

I think Jewish mothers always kvell over our kids. I am the proud mother of twin 14 year olds. I am fortunate to be their mom. They are amazing!
Sarah Kennedy says
What the hell is ‘Gd’??? Yeah, you’re a real fearless mom. You can’t even add the ‘O’ to God’s name. Why is that? Are you scared of offending your dwindling listener? Look at your chatbox. There is no one here anymore because of your bad taste, bad politics, bad personality and now fearful political correctness. Break out of your bubble, honey. See yourself how others see you. It’s a life changer, unfortunately you’ll be too busy shopping for a life on the treadmill.
Jenny says
Huh?
JackieL says
Hey Sarah, Jews don’t writer G-d out of respect.
Sarah Kennedy says
oh yes. because Jenny ‘digging for tampons’ the Hutt is all about the respect. give me a break. i’m just glad G-d will be punishing her for voting Obama by making sure Romney regulates her tampons so that will never happen again.
LT says
Sarah, please take your meds–stat!
Carlyn says

Watched this video twice, what a darling, talented little lady! Hell yes, you’re proud. You should be, she’s awesome.
Sam says
Jenny, you are so stuck on yourself. You have nothing to offer and would not have a show if it was not for your influential Father (who actually accomplished something). You have no more to offer this world than the Kardasians. At least they are pretty (and not midgets). Live your life in the bid house that your husband and Father paid for. Get a real job and stand on your own (short) two legs. You are pathetic and should not even begin to think you are a celebrity. We do not care about you, your very “accomplished” children or your sham of a marriage….
Carlyn says
And what have you done with your life, aside from taking up other peoples air?
Beth says
Your daughter has a beautiful voice – its ok to be proud of your kids – if you dont advocate for them who will?

Love this video! Remembered watching it some time ago, then my daughter just recently attempted the same thing. I had to hunt this video down to show her. Awesome! BTW…I don’t get the haters. If they’re so put off, why do they waste their time looking and commenting on the site? Sad…
