Kim Kardashian is having a girl!
Kim and Kanye are expecting a baby girl, but Bruce Jenner is having a cow over the lack of support his stepdaughter is getting from the rapper.
The mother-to-be reality TV star unveiled the gender of the child she’s carrying during Sunday’s season premier of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
“I’m so excited I’m having a girl,” Kim said after learning from an ultrasound she’s having a daughter. “I know that’s really what Kanye wants — he wanted a little girl.”
As the world learned of the contents of Kim Kardashian’s baby bump, she was celebrating at a baby shower thrown by family and friends in Beverly Hills.
Philip Seymour Hoffman Just Completed Detox for Heroin
Actor, producer, and director Philip Seymour Hoffman is speaking publicly about abusing heroin earlier this month.
The 45-year-old has always been candid about his struggles with drugs and alcohol, but spent the last 23 years sober. In that time he’s had a hand in a multitude of critically acclaimed films, and he won the Academy Award for best actor in 2006 for his work in Capote.
Hoffman told TMZ that he began abusing prescription pills last year. That escalated to heroin use earlier this month, at which point he says he realized he had a problem. Hoffman says he only snorted heroin for about a week before he checked himself into an East Coast detox facility on May 14.
Hoffman’s detox stint forced him to miss a May 18 promotional event at Cannes for the new Hunger Games film Catching Fire. But the actor is now back to work; he’s currently in Europe for production on a new film. He is also slated to appear in John Slattery’s upcoming directorial debut God’s Pocket with Christina Hendricks.
CHANNING TATUM & JENNA DEWAN
Welcome A Baby…
… Girl, according to Us Weekly! Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan reportedly welcomed a daughter last Thursday in London. There hasn’t been any official announcement or confirmation yet. I haven’t seen any pictures of Jenna in the past few days, but I wouldn’t read too much into that one- LOL.
I’m guessing Channing and Jenna were at least trying to make it out of the hospital and back to their London flat before the news broke. Congrats if the story is true! Hopefully mama and baby are doing well. We’ll keep an eye out for more information, like a name. Story developing…
“After Earth” Bombs…
Ever since Independence Day‘s $50.2 million debut on July 4th weekend in 1996, Will Smith has been the undisputed king of the summer box office. He’s led films like Men In Black; Bad Boys II; I, Robot; and Hancock to massive grosses — both domestically and around the world.
But his latest effort, After Earth, landed with a major thud on opening weekend, grossing just $27 million (distributor Sony told outlets it was expecting $35 million before the weekend) and opening in third place with a tepid “B” CinemaScore. The $130 million M. Night Shyamalan-directed sci-fi film, based on an original story idea by Will Smith himself, also starred the A-lister’s son, Jaden. The father/son duo previously found success with 2006′s The Pursuit of Happyness, which earned $163.6 million, but this time around, the casting gimmick wasn’t enough to get audiences into the door.
Community Creator Dan Harmon to return:
Just a few weeks after learning that Community had been renewed for a fifth season, fans are getting more news to brighten their timeline: The return of creator Dan Harmon.
The mad-scientist showrunner is in negotiations with the show’s studio, Sony TV, to rejoin the community college-set NBC comedy, after being fired last May following a tumultuous tenure that included clashes with series star Chevy Chase (who exited six months later amidst controversy). The just-concluded fourth season, which executive producers Moses Port and David Guarascio were brought in to run, wound up drawing similar ratings to season 3′s, though there were certain grumbles from fans and critics that the off-beat cult series didn’t feel like it was operating at the same creative level.
Harmon, who is revered by Community fans, made mention of this possible reunion with his beloved show on Sunday during a taping of his podcast, Harmontown: He said that NBC had asked him to return and quipped that he would do it only if Chase came back too, according toHollyWookiee.com.
