Kanye Rants on Leaked Tape
Kanye is about as unfiltered as it gets when he’s on the record, so what about when he’s talking, say, to a recorder he doesn’t know is there? Gawker published an audiotape that appears to be the rapper ranting about his VMA incident with Taylor Swift, racism, and lots of other (very) loosely related subjects. “I fuckin’ care!” Kanye says, speaking of the verse he rewrote for Rihanna’s single “Run This Town.” “Because I wrote my verse in two days, Taylor Swift cannot beat Beyoncé! As long as I’m alive!” Asked on the tape why he’s so angry, West replies, “Because my mother got arrested for the fuckin’ sit-ins. My mother died for this fame shit!” And so it goes
Justin Bieber’s Mom-Inspired Eye Tat Explained!
Tattoo artist Keith ‘Bang Bang’ McCurdy tells MTV News, ‘He always wants to think of his mom. We’re all mama’s boys.’
Justin Bieber has a myriad of tattoos dedicated to all sorts of interests and folks (including one that looks a bit like Selena Gomez). But it’s his latest piece of ink that just might have the most sentimental value for the 19-year-old pop star.
Earlier this week, Bieber stopped by Bang Bang Tattoos in New York City, knowing he wanted to pay homage to his mom, Pattie Mallette, who has been quite vocal in the past few weeks about her son’s very public ups and downs. The latest tat of an eye, located in the crease of his elbow, is meant to symbolize the idea that “Mom’s always watching,” Bieber wrote Wednesday on Instagram.
Tattoo artist Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy told MTV News about the ink he designed for Bieber: “It felt like a good spot for it to sit for him. I didn’t feel like it was bizarre at all, people often get an eye to symbolize many things. For him, it was just like his mother watching over, kind of like a protective thing. It’s totally from mama. We were talking about how we both have tattoos for our mothers and how it’s something you’ll never regret.”
Family Guy–Simpsons Crossover Episode Planned for Next Year
Fox’s two biggest animation properties are burying the hatchet and teaming up for a crossover episode set to debut next year.
In a Family Guy episode entitled “The Simpsons Guy,” Peter, Lois, Chris, Meg, Stewie, and Brian take a road trip and find themselves in Springfield, face to face with their arch-rivals.
Homer, who refers to the Griffins as “albinos,” welcomes the strangers, and the two families hit it off.
According to a synopsis obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Stewie takes a shine to Bart and his pranks, while Lisa tries to find something Meg is good at. Marge and Lois “do some bonding,” while Peter and Homer have an argument over beer labels.
The animosity between the two cartoons has cooled significantly since The Simpsons outright accused Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane of plagiarism in the season 17 episode “The Italian Bob.”
As EW notes, Simpsons voice actor Dan Castellaneta (Homer et al.) had a cameo in a Family Guy episode last year, and MacFarlane himself guest starred in The Simpsons’ season 24 finale.
“The Simpsons Guy” is set to air on Fox in the fall of 2014.
