Look up Gina Gilbert at serge normant NYC 212-879-1000 downtown location. Or find her on fb. She is responsible for my hair color formula. I am a natural red head but rather grey by now! Good luck!

Hi Jenny,
I love your radio show & listen every morning ! I am a clinical social worker @ Johns Hopkins Hospital and work with Oncology patients/families. Your show starts my day off with a breath of fresh air.
I also make sure to take care of myself (given what I do for a living) and work HARD each to day to eat right and work out. People assume that it is an easy task. THANK YOU for making a point countless times to mention that in fact it is REALLY hard work, each and every day! It’s REALLY HARD and it’s a choice that we make each moment of each day. It helps me to stay motivated hearing that you “get it!”. Thanks.

Jenny, I was on the way to work a month ago or so, at 6am, when I tuned into broad minded to find they were no longer on ! I was so bummed but each morning I kept listening to you! Ok, so now I love your show and can’t wait to turn you on each morning!!!! Did you really eat pasta with butter and ketchup ? Or were you joking? Love your honesty and humor, thanks ! Mary
Jenny says
Yes! Really grew up on pasta with ketchup and butter. But as a grownup I prefer pasta with soy sauce and butter. So delicious and fattening! Glad you like my show! Thanks for telling me.

Hi, Jenny.
I’ve been a fan since “Whatever, Martha!”, but it’s so great to be able to listen to you without the cynical joy-hater, Alexis.
I realize you are a lawyer, and not a doctor, but you are also an unofficial weight loss expert. I try to tune in to your show daily, especially on Weight Wednesdays, but I am usually too busy to listen. I have a weight question:
A couple of years ago I lost about 130 lbs (through diet and exercise), but recently I have gained back around 15 lbs or so. I know that’s no big deal in the grand scheme of things, but I attribute it to trying to eat like a “normal” person. Consuming 1200-1300 calories per day causes me to gain. I’d been fat since birth (I’m 33 now), so I’m relatively new to the Thinnish Club, and even the Not Morbidly Obese Club. I’ve heard you casually mention very low calorie dieting on your show, and I’m wondering how commonly this is used to maintain a large loss. There are very few resources available in this area; I suspect because people have a knee-jerk reaction that consuming anything less than 1200 calories per day is bordering into ED territory.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on very low calorie diets and I’d be super grateful if you could direct me to any resources on this matter.
Cheers,
ash

Hi Ashley,
Congratulations on losing 130lbs, wow what an accomplishment you should be very proud of yourself.
I read in the Times, that unfortunately you will have to eat 20 percent less than someone your weight for the rest of your life, because your body will always try to get back up to your highest weight.
