DO you count the calories that you burn for exercise? if so you are probably only taking in about 500-600 calories a day, NOT enuf girl!!

Ha! That’s funny Jen! I was just going over my food list for today….1/2 pop tart, one nectarine, chopped salad from buona beef (this was 800 calories so it BLEW the rest of the day! Had to have Lettuce and cukes with lemon juice because I spent all of my calories at lunch…also not to healthy…was feeling bad….then remembered I did stay under 1100!!! So I forgave myself. 🙂

I’m SO not going to judge – eating ‘right’ is NOT easy for everyone. Maybe some people out there it comes easily to – I’m not one of those people. I think you are brave for being honest about what you eat.

Thank you for posting! The main reason why you post is because WE ask you to!! You are not trying to get people to eat what you do, but it keep yourself in check 🙂

5oz tuna, 1 tsp light mayo, 2 tsp pickle relish, 12 tortilla chips
5oz chicken breast, tortilla chips, green sauce, sauteed veggies,2 skinny ritas

I love that you are honest, whether it’s healthy eating or not, you can blog all lies about what you ate and we would never know, yet blogging dinner as some chocolate and a lollipop is real, we all have days like that. It’s hard to admit (especially on a blog), but you do and I respect your honesty. Please don’t change. Keep keeping it real!!!!!

That’s what I like about your food diary. It lets us all know we’re not culinarily alone. We all have a hard time navigating through the food jungle and managing to eat healthy. 🙂

Hey there……I can’t believe you try and stay under 1100 calories a day! With all your exercising you should allow yourself at LEAST 1800/day. But I agree, you need to up your fiber and make your fruit choices count more. What does your family do for dinner while you have your shake? Remember family time at dinner is important too and you are setting an example for your kids – so cook and eat dinner with them! You don’t want your daughter to think she can’t eat dinner. I’ll bet if you eat dinner, you won’t be so ravenous in the morning.
Jenny says
my daughter knows i struggle and that i want her to have less of a struggle…cant be delusional and think any girl in today’s world will be issue free when it comes to food intake! also, i am not home for dinner. my kids eat with my husband (their dad!) so they have a better example of what to do then… appreciate your advice..better i eat dinner yes. my schedule is weird and just trying to manage all.
ilene says
Your diet is clearly lacking in the proper types of food but what is more concerning is how little you’re eating! Your daily intake is too low for how much you’re exercising. You are practically starving yourself and you may be as unhealthy as you were when you were overweight. Unfortunately it seems as if you are just as obsessed with NOT eating as you once were with
OVER eating. I hope you don’t take this comment the wrong way but I just don’t want you to end up sick from your excessive dieting.
Jenny says
hey ilene! thanks for your concern…YES you are correct..i still have that obsessive nature about my food. i am working on it. under stress i tend to eat what i want but try to limit it…when i should just be making healthier choices. i am well aware of what i should be doing…
that said, i am certainly not wasting away…thankfully- not going to happen to me!!! i appreciate your looking out for me.
Charles says
You should really pack a lunch and not eat so much Chipoltle. Even though you are counting calories, you also need to be aware of your sodium intake, and should not really exceed 1500 mg a day. That kind of take out food is loaded with a shocking amount of sodium – check it out: https://www.chipotle.com/en-us/menu/nutritional_information/nutritional_information.aspx
Jenny says
i rarely eat chipotle..BUT thank you for the info. i appreciate it.
