went to dermatologist today…had two things removed. GET YOUR SKIN CHECKED!!!
today’s food…so so. so what! i didn’t work out…first day off in over a week…just no time. bummer!
and please if you’re here to yell at me (virtually ofcourse) about my intake… ok! (bet you thought i was going to say something else!)
and please eat more healthfully than i do. you’ll feel better (than i do!)
breakfast:
i had watermelon, and a cheese stick and coffee with soy milk. 220
lunch:
pretzel nuggets, almond butter 500
snacks: candy, hot cocoa 380
though no dinner…confident i had a lot of calories because of the almond butter.
total: about 1100
no exercise.
and remember yesterday i had 1300 calories or so…
good night everyone.

Thanks for sharing and hope for a better tomorrow that’s all. I actually am a bit under calories and I am done eating for today, had a nice 40 min walk on treadmill and will try my best to continue. All we can do, but at least we are aware!
Susan says
Are you trying to lose more weight or are you maintaining?
Jenny says
maintaining. i dont think i have what it takes to lose more and if i did i think id get (extra) old looking. but my weight fluctuates 2lbs…and i have to work super hard to stay at low end of that!!! my body cannot handle a lot of calories. i know i am not the only one like that…if/when i eat cleaner i could eat more volume…

Your reminder about having skin checked is so important. I’ve had three kinds of skin cancer – from melanoma, to basal cell to DFSP which is a very rare kind. My father in law died of melanoma within three months of diagnosis and my ex husband has had recurrent melanoma. It’s a deadly cancer which can be caught early with regular check ups. You’re doing great, Jennifer, and you inspire us all!
Jenny says
laurie!!! omfg. so glad you are ok!!!! ive had basal and squamous. yep. gotta do it like mammo and gyno and cardio and internist…haha. it just doesnt end. xo.
Greta says
You’re right, Jenny and Laurie–get checked! I just had basal cell removed. Just a tiny dot near my lip resulted in an incision over an inch long. Healing great, though!
Jenny says
glad you’re ok!

My one question is … Aren’t you hungry? I wouldn’t be able to sleep without dinner.
Jenny says
last night i got hungry and woke up 1am and ate watermelon!!! so yes, it happens. i try for 1000 usually end up over 1100 and sometimes more. it is all about maintenance and that’s its own dance for me… hope your visiting day was amazing!

Seems like not an easy way to live your life – since you have a family you have to cook for. I’m not judging, I’m just saying if it were me, I’d be miserable! My husband just turned into a Type 1 diabetic – we think it was the chemotherapy since no family history – but once you eat like he does – the weight falls off! And we eat 3 meals a day – just barely any carbs.
Jenny says
i can eat more the less carbs i eat… you are correct! and no not easy but i am much happier this way… hope your husband feels well. and ive heard about chemo’s ability to do that… xo.
